Rajasthan Education Summit 2026 Highlights AI‑Driven Vision for Learning & Talent

Positioning Rajasthan as a future hub for AI-driven learning, innovation, and skilled talent emerged as the central focus of the Rajasthan Education Summit 2026 held in Jaipur on Friday. Organised by ASSOCHAM Rajasthan State Council in collaboration with IIHMR University the summit deliberated on the theme “Empowering Rajasthan through AI-Driven Education & Vision 2030”.

Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Government of Rajasthan, along with more than 150 delegates, focused on strengthening Rajasthan’s education ecosystem through responsible integration of AI, industry-academia collaboration, digital transformation, skill development, innovation-led learning, and future-ready curricula.

Speakers including Vice Chancellors, Directors, policymakers, researchers, principals, entrepreneurs, and industry representatives highlighted the importance of ensuring that technology-driven education remains accessible, inclusive, and employment-oriented, particularly for students from emerging and underserved regions.

Dr. PR Sodani, President, IIHMR University, shared, “The future of education will be defined by how effectively we integrate technology with human-centric learning. AI-driven education is not only about digital transformation but also about creating equitable opportunities, strengthening critical thinking, and preparing youth for emerging global challenges. Platforms like these are important for fostering collaboration between academia, government, and industry.”

Discussions explored how AI can support personalised learning, improve educational governance, enhance research capabilities, and contribute to building a globally competitive talent pool from Rajasthan.

Union Power Minister inaugurates the maiden edition of the Biggest Electricity Show of India – Bharat Electricity Summit 2026

Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs Sh. Manohar Lal inaugurated ‘Bharat Electricity Summit 2026’, a four-day global Conference-cum-Exhibition for the power sector, being held under the patronage of Ministry of Power from 19-22 March 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. Shri Pralhad Joshi, Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India; Shri Shripad Naik, Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Government of India; Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India; Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, Central Electricity Authority (CEA) were also present during inauguration.

While hailing achievements such as achieving its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) target of 50% cumulative non-fossil electric capacity nearly five years ahead of schedule, the SHANTI Act 2025, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, transition from power deficit to a power surplus nation, exponential growth in solar energy capacity from 2.8 GW solar capacity to over 143 GW today, Shri Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs underscored the unprecedented investment opportunities of approx. INR 200 lakh crore over the next two decades in India’s power sector. In his keynote address, the Minister also highlighted India’s remarkable progress with a 72% expansion in transmission infrastructure to over 5 lakh circuit kilometers, meeting 250 GW peak demand in 2024-25 and being fully prepared to meet peak demand of 270 GW and beyond, while positioning itself as a future global exporter of affordable energy as the backbone of India’s vision to become a developed nation by 2047, he also outlined initiatives such as cross-border energy connectivity, undersea transmission networks.

He further added, “Today is not just another day, it is a day of resolve for India’s energy transformation. From relying on conventional resources to now returning to the power of the sun, we are completing a full circle. Energy is at the heart of development, and as India moves towards becoming a developed nation by 2047, our focus is on innovation, affordability, and global collaboration. This ‘Conference of Light’ is not just an event, but a movement to take India’s energy leadership to the world.”

Shri Pralhad Joshi, Minister of New & Renewable Energy, Government of India, emphasized that while thermal power will continue to serve as the backbone of the energy system, renewable energy represents the only sustainable long-term pathway, underscoring the need for a balanced transition driven by scale, speed, and skill.

Complementing this vision, Shri. Shripad Naik, Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Government of India highlighted that India’s installed power capacity has more than doubled since 2014, with renewable energy witnessing exponential growth, from 2.8 GW solar capacity to over 143 GW today. He emphasized that over 32 lakh households and 23 lakh farmers are already contributing to clean energy generation, reflecting a shift towards a participative energy economy.

Adding to this, Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Power, stated that India now operates one of the world’s largest synchronised grids, supported by advanced balancing systems, large-scale smart meter deployment and strong policy frameworks.

He further added, “India’s power sector transformation over the past decade offers a strong global model, driven by policy clarity, scale, and innovation. From near-zero peak deficits to one of the world’s largest synchronized grids, and from falling solar tariffs to smart infrastructure rollout, we are building a system that is efficient, reliable, and investment-ready. The next phase will be defined by technology, data, and global partnerships.”

During the inaugural session, the Ministry of Power released key strategic reports including the National Resource Adequacy Plan, outlining a comprehensive roadmap to meet India’s growing electricity demand through a balanced energy mix, and the Transmission Plan for Integration of over 900 GW Non-Fossil Fuel Capacity by 2035-36. The transmission blueprint envisages the development of 1,37,500 circuit kilometers of transmission lines and 8,27,600 MVA substation capacity, with an estimated investment of ₹7.93 lakh crore, ensuring seamless evacuation of renewable energy and strengthening grid resilience.

The Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 is a Ministry of Power and industry-led initiative. The summit will host more than 100 high-level conference sessions featuring over 300 speakers, representatives from more than 80 countries, over 500 exhibitors including over 100 startups and more than 25,000 visitors, making it one of the largest electricity-focused platforms globally.

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 Concludes at BIEC, Reinforcing Global Confidence in Karnataka’s “Futurise” Agenda

The 28th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2025 concluded today at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), marking the end of three days of high-impact innovation and global collaboration. A key highlight this year was the Future Makers Conclave, which brought together trailblazers shaping the next decade. Astronaut Group Capt. Shubhanshu Shukla, author and entrepreneur Ankur Warikoo, tennis icon Sania Mirza, Zepto Co-Founder Kaivalya Vohra, cricketer Richa Ghosh, mentalist Suhani Shah, and several other celebrated personalities shared stories that blended creativity, resilience, and leadership. The Conclave also featured a special felicitation ceremony honouring founders of companies that have crossed the billion-dollar milestone, with leaders from Zepto, Rapido, Ather Energy, Jumbotail, Navi, and Bluestone recognised on stage with the traditional Mysuru Peta.

At the Conclave, Minister Priyank Kharge outlined Karnataka’s intensified focus on deep tech and the expanding collaboration between the government and the private sector. He shared that the state has already facilitated ₹786.43 crore in investments for deep-tech startups and recently launched a ₹663-crore Deep Tech Fund. With venture capital firms matching the government’s commitment, the combined corpus has now crossed ₹1,200 crore, with contributions from leading funds such as Capital A, Blue Hill VC, and Axcel Partners. He emphasised that government grants help early-stage startups transition to VC funding and pilot deployment, reiterating Karnataka’s vision of becoming a startup’s “first customer” and noting the state’s rise in global startup rankings from 21st to 8th in just two years.

The recognition of high-growth founders served as a strong reminder of Bengaluru’s role in shaping India’s digital economy, as the Government of Karnataka celebrated the resilience and ambition of leaders who have built transformative companies. Zepto’s rapid acceleration in the quick-commerce sector was highlighted as a standout example of innovation and disciplined execution, symbolising the strength of the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and inspiring emerging founders across the country.

Themed “Futurise”, the Summit brought together leaders from government, industry, research, and entrepreneurship to imagine, innovate, and build what comes next. Notable figures who addressed or participated in sessions across the three days included Debjani Ghosh (NITI Aayog), Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Dr. V. Narayanan (ISRO), Shri S. Gopalakrishnan (Kris), Chairman, Karnataka Vision Group on IT & Electronics, and Co-Founder, Infosys, Chairman, Axilor Ventures, Shri Prashanth Prakash, Chairperson, Karnataka Vision Group on Startups and Partner, Accel, Prof. Arindam Ghosh (IISc) among others. BTS 2025 recorded exceptional participation with representation from 57 nations, reflecting its global reach. The summit featured 1015 exhibitors and 663 speakers, showcasing cutting-edge ideas and innovations. With over 20,680 delegates, 46,389 registered business visitors, and 92,478 total attendees. BTS 2025 reinforced its position as one of Asia’s most influential technology and innovation gatherings. It also featured 103 knowledge sessions across 10 thematic tracks that supported by strong participation from startups, academic researchers, policy leaders, and global partner missions. Academic institutions and leading research universities joined international delegations to strengthen research–industry collaboration.

This year, Australia joined as the Country Partner, while NRW Global Business (Germany) and Norway featured as Country Focus Partners, Poland as the Bronze Partner, and Italy as the Country Presence Partner. Further strengthening the global footprint of the summit, delegations from leading tech nations participated in the Conference and Exhibition, viz., USA, Cuba, Uruguay, Russia, UK, Israel, Belgium, Finland, France, EU, Dubai, Sharjah, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Thailand. BTS 2025 featured comprehensive knowledge tracks across IT & DeepTech, Electronics & Semicon, DigiHealth & Biotech, FinVerse, AI Universe, Frontier Technologies, and Spacetech & Aerospace. Across stages, leaders deliberated on the future of work, AI-driven science, sovereign digital ecosystems, regenerative medicine, semiconductor design maturity, and global financial innovation, reflecting the breadth of India’s rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 concluded as a landmark reflection of India’s innovation landscape, encompassing its founders, institutions, global partners, and collective technological vision. STPI IT Export Awards 2024–25: The awards recognised Shri B. V. Naidu with the STPI Commendation Award for his longstanding contribution to Karnataka’s IT/ITES sector, a category he originally conceptualised. Infosys Ltd. received the IT Ratna of Karnataka for exports above ₹15,000 crore, followed by IT Pride honours for Schneider Electric and major IT/ITES leaders, including Accenture, Amazon, Bosch, Dell, IBM, Intel, JPMorgan, Qualcomm, Samsung R&D, SAP Labs, TCS, and VMware. High-growth and regional awards went to Clinisys, Colt, Genpact, Excelsoft, and Glowtouch, while Cyient DLM and Incap were recognised in hardware. Workforce and productivity honours went to NVIDIA, Genpact, Intuit, NXP, and Signify Innovations, with Exhibitor Excellence awards presented to Xogar Studio, Israel Pavilion, Alliance University, Sarus Aerospace, ECIA, ARTPARK, Sharjah RTI Park, IIIT-Bangalore, and the Russia Pavilion.

The TCS National Rural IT Quiz 2025 showcased exceptional young talent from across the country, with Pratham Chetan Dand from Shree M. J. C. K. R. Higher Secondary School, Songadh, Gujarat, emerging as the National Winner. The Runner-Up title was secured by Anish Nauso Shetye from Dr. K. B. Hedgewar Vidyamandir, Sankhalim, Goa, reflecting the strong performance and enthusiasm from students across rural India. This year’s edition once again underscored the growing digital awareness and potential of rural students, reinforcing the Quiz’s mission to inspire and empower future innovators.

The BioQuiz 2025 National Finals at the Bengaluru Tech Summit brought together top biotechnology students from across India for a fast-paced and engaging competition hosted by quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam, with guest Apoorva K Bidari, KAS, opening the session. Across challenging rounds covering molecular biology, genetics, and biotechnology innovations, the finalists demonstrated sharp thinking under pressure. Jharkhand’s Debabrata Meitei from ICAR–Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology emerged as the National Winner, maintaining a commanding lead through consistent and accurate answering, while Uttar Pradesh’s Bhavya Bansal from Lovely Professional University finished as Runner-Up following steady scoring and impressive buzzer attempts. The finalist from AISSMS College of Engineering, Maharashtra, also delivered a strong performance, making the quiz a spirited and memorable highlight of the summit.

The fireside chat with Zepto Co-founder Kaivalya Vohra, moderated by Ankur Warikoo, offered a compelling look into how Zepto pioneered the 10-minute delivery model. Vohra shared that the idea emerged after noticing that customers who accidentally received 10–15-minute deliveries showed the highest retention, prompting the founders to test the concept hands-on during the pandemic. He spoke about the challenge of building dark stores and ultra-fast supply chain systems with no global precedent, relying on rapid iteration and strong technical innovation. Emphasising resilience, Vohra noted that entrepreneurship demands showing up despite daily setbacks. He also highlighted the importance of hiring experienced operators early to fill knowledge gaps. Calling Bengaluru home, he credited the city’s exceptional talent pool for Zepto’s growth. The session concluded with insights into his inspirations, leadership learnings, and Zepto’s continued expansion beyond groceries.

Speaking at Future Conclave, Group Capt. Shubhanshu Shukla delivered an inspiring keynote on the realities of human spaceflight, emphasising how curiosity drives humanity to solve extreme challenges beyond Earth. He described how astronauts must relearn basic actions in space due to the absence of gravity, making even simple tasks unfamiliar. Shukla highlighted the dramatic evolution of spacecraft from the earliest capsules to modern touch-screen-operated Crew Dragon vehicles. He explained the crushing experience of launch, where astronauts endure up to 8 Gs while ascending to 28,500 km/h in under nine minutes. He spoke about the disorienting nature of microgravity, where concepts like up or down vanish and objects float effortlessly. The physiological impact of space travel was outlined, including fluid shifts to the head, muscle loss, and temporary height increase. He shared how returning to Earth requires relearning how to walk after days in orbit. Shukla also emphasised the psychological resilience required for long-duration missions. He showcased breathtaking visuals of Earth from space, including India illuminated at night. Concluding with a strong message, he urged the audience to contribute to India’s rapidly growing space ecosystem and help power the nation’s journey toward “Viksit Bharat 2047,” reminding everyone that the sky was never the limit.

In a Fireside chat, the Grit, Glory, and Grace, moderated by sports anchor Mayanti Langer, Sanya Mirza, and Richa Ghosh, discuss navigating criticism, managing the spotlight, and staying grounded as elite athletes. Sanya shared how she developed resilience over the years, noting that neither social media praise nor negativity should shape an athlete’s mindset. They reflected on how technology and data have transformed training, recovery and performance, especially for women whose physiological needs require tailored support. Sanya emphasised that while AI and innovation elevate sport, instinct, talent and hard work remain irreplaceable. Both athletes also celebrated the rising visibility and respect for women’s sports in India and urged young athletes and entrepreneurs to stay rooted in their purpose and focus on consistent effort rather than external expectations.

Piyush Goyal Urges Deeptech Innovation for India’s Technological Sovereignty at TiEcon Delhi

Policymakers, industry stalwarts, investors, founders and startup leaders converged at TiEcon Delhi to celebrate India’s accelerating deeptech revolution. TiEcon Delhi, organized by TiE Delhi-NCR, a two-day summit kicked off on an inspiring note, setting the stage for powerful conversations, visionary ideas, and collaborations shaping the future of technology and entrepreneurship in India.

India Should Manufacture Its Own AI – NVIDIA CEO, Huang

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang emphasized the importance of India manufacturing its own AI during the NVIDIA AI Summit in Mumbai on October 24, 2024. He stated, "It makes complete sense that India should manufacture its own AI".

Huang highlighted India's potential to become a global leader in AI, leveraging its vast pool of technical talent and immense data resources. He also mentioned that India could export AI in the future, similar to how it has exported software.

This vision aligns with NVIDIA's collaborations with Indian companies like Reliance Industries and Tech Mahindra to develop advanced AI infrastructure and solutions.

To capitalize on this country’s talent and India’s immense data resources, the country’s leading cloud infrastructure providers are rapidly accelerating their data center capacity. NVIDIA is playing a key role, with NVIDIA GPU deployments expected to grow nearly 10x by year’s end, creating the backbone for an AI-driven economy.

Together with NVIDIA, these companies are at the cutting edge of a shift Huang compared to the seismic change in computing introduced by IBM’s System 360 in 1964, calling it the most profound platform shift since then.

"This industry, the computing industry, is going to become the intelligence industry,” Huang said, pointing to India’s unique strengths to lead this industry, thanks to its enormous amounts of data and large population.

Huang identified three areas where AI will transform industries: sovereign AI, where nations use their own data to drive innovation; agentic AI, which automates knowledge-based work; and physical AI, which applies AI to industrial tasks through robotics and autonomous systems. India, Huang noted, is uniquely positioned to lead in all three areas.

India’s startups are already harnessing NVIDIA technology to drive innovation across industries and are positioning themselves as global players, bringing the country’s AI solutions to the world.

Huang also shared a light-hearted moment with Ambani, joking about the size of their respective homes and acknowledging Nita Ambani's role in building the Jio World Centre. GPAI is a multi-stakeholder initiative with 29 member-countries, which aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice on AI by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities. India is the lead chair of GPAI in 2024. As one of the founding members of GPAI in 2020, the current incoming Support Chair of GPAI, and the Lead Chair for GPAI in 2024, India is hosting the Annual GPAI Summit from December 12 – 14, 2023

Multiple sessions on diverse topics like AI & global health, education and skilling, AI and data governance, and ML Workshop, among others will be organised during the summit. Other attractions in the summit include Research Symposium, AI Gamechangers Award and India AI Expo.

Ayush Ministry To Co-Host 1st-Ever Global Summit on Traditional Medicine

A first-of-its-kind global summit on Traditional Medicine, organised by the World Health Organization (WHO) and co-hosted by the Ministry of Ayush, is set to take place on August 17-18, 2023, at 

Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The summit will take into account the vast experience and expertise of the country and this highly anticipated event will serve as a platform for experts and practitioners to delve into the latest scientific advancements and evidence-based knowledge in the sector, with the ultimate goal of ensuring health and well-being for all.

The esteemed Director-General of WHO, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, will inaugurate the event in the presence of Minister of Health Shri Mansukh Mandaviya and Minister of Ayush Shri Sarbananda Sonowal. G20 health Ministers, Regional Directors of WHO and eminent invitees from countries across WHO's six regions are expected to grace the event along with scientists, practitioners of traditional medicine, health workers and members of civil society organisations. Union Minister of State for Ayush, Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai gave this information in a press conference today at New Delhi.

Speaking about the event in a press conference, Dr Munjpara stated that the summit's outcome will be a declaration, and this declaration will assist WHO in shaping the future of WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine. He also stated, “It is very natural that after the foundation laying ceremony of the Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar last year, we are going to witness this first global event in India. It testifies to the multi-dimensional strides taken by various traditional medicine systems of our country in the recent past.”

“By blending traditional practices with contemporary practices aided by visionary policies and digital initiatives, India has demonstrated a path for achieving universal health coverage (UHC) through traditional medicine systems.” He added.

Director, Department of Health Systems Development (WHO South East Asia Regional Centre) Shri Manoj Jhalani stated that the summit is expected to develop a roadmap toward creating a more holistic and healthier world for future generations by recognizing the interconnectedness between human health, planetary harmony, and technological advancement.

An array of distinguished speakers will be spearheading discussions on key focus areas, namely research, evidence and learning; policy, data and regulation; innovation and digital health; and biodiversity, equity and traditional (healthcare) knowledge.

Another added milestone will be the exhibition of Traditional systems of medicine from across the globe and the Ministry of Ayush. This exhibition serves as a comprehensive display of Traditional Medicine worldwide and will showcase the interconnectedness of Traditional Medicine with the natural environment in the form of ‘Kalpavriksha’, along with scientific and technological advancements spearheaded by various regional centres of WHO and the Ministry of Ayush.

In a detailed presentation, the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, Shri Rahul Sharma, laid down the salient features of the event and the exhibition by WHO regional Centres and the Ayush exhibition zone, which has the theme, 'Ayush for Planetary Health & Wellbeing', This exhibition will display WHO regional centres’ prowess apart from highlighting Ayush's efficacy and rich biodiversity of medicinal plants. Some very interesting experiential and interactive kiosks will also be there.

The ministry will also be organising yoga and meditation sessions at the Convention Centre. There also will be yoga and meditation sessions at hotel venues, as well as short Yoga breaks at Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre between sessions.

In 2022, WHO, with the support of the Government of India, established the Global Centre for Traditional Medicine. Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, laid the foundation stone of WHO-GCTM last year in the presence of the Director-General, WHO, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. The centre is a collaborative project of the Ministry of Ayush of India and the World Health Organization (WHO) and is the first and only global outpost for traditional medicine across the globe. The WHO GCTM will provide leadership on all global health matters related to traditional medicine as well as extend support to member countries in shaping various policies related to traditional medicine research, practices and public health. In a significant move, this year's highly anticipated event in the form of the WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine is taking place.

Notably, India is revolutionising traditional medicine using digital methods. From Ayush hospital management system to the Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL), the harmony between ancient wisdom and modern technology is evident in various key digital projects by Ayush Ministry, Government of India.

A Unique Summit of 20 Students Led NGOs Held at T-Hub

Foundation Summit, a unique summit of Student Led NGOs held at T-Hub (there is no connection to T-Hub, except the venue). Twenty Youth Lead, in the age group of 16 to 21 years old participated. All must all of them are studying and also running these NGOs. 

The Kashmir Files producer Abhishek Agarwal, Shanta Thoutham from Telangana State Innovation Cell; Ritu Shah, Chairperson of FICCI Ladies Organisation(FLO), Ms Shubhra Maheshwari, Past Chairperson FLO, Mr Sumer Jain, MD of Four Wheel Travels and others graced.

Addressing the youth at the Vibhegia Summit, Abhishek Agrawal, producer of The Kahsmir Files said Teens too are socially aware. This is the new India, the young India, they like to come out and serve. The emerging society is full of challenges to overcome, and youth is the answer for a promising tomorrow, he said.

The 20 student-led non-profits include A Teenager's Interests; Bizz.connect; Miles and smiles; The Khayal Foundation; Whelve; Learning Space Foundation; MNR Organisation; M Group Realtors; Dhruvansh; Meraki Bizz Connect; Naari, women wellness initiative; Touch A Life Foundation; JMB Learning; Bina Singh Foundation; Hygeia and Vibhaag. 

The initiative named VIBHGEIA, the half-day FOUNDATION SUMMIT was organized by two leading student-led non-profitable foundations. It was rare to bring all these non-profit organizations together under one platform. It was an opportunity for all the other nonprofitable organizations to share their mission and impact the audience.

The event held in the evening. Twenty NGOs participated and also put up stalls. They set up their stalls, propagated their causes, and missions, and spread the messages. Three foundations were chosen from the networking session to speak. Awards were presented to the deserving few. 

The aim of this conference was to network, share, care, learn, collaborate, and make an impact to society unlike before said NGO Vibhaag Foundation’s, Founder, Ashmit Tainwala, and Bhuvit Hisariya founder of HYGEIA.

Vibhaag Foundation is a student-run foundation led by Ashmit Tainwala. It raised funds in the past for a Charitable Clinic for Women and Children in a Slum area run by the Lions Club of Hyderabad Petals. Even the Medicines required to run the clinic for one year were arranged by a student-run NGO.

Govt of Goa in Partnership with Newton School Organizes Digital Goa Youth Summit

The Goa State Higher Education Council, Directorate of Higher Education, and the Goa Government collaborated with Newton School, a neo-university providing outcome-oriented education, successfully organized the Digital Goa Youth Summit in the presence of several luminaries. The event, held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Panaji on Tuesday, 28th March, marked the launch of the Digital Goa Scholarship Program (DGSP), which was initiated in October 2022. The program would help create a talented pool of tech professionals in Goa in collaboration with Newton School to eliminate geographical and financial barriers. Through this program, the Goa government and Newton School aim to provide over 10,000 Goan students with advanced industry-focused tech education for in-depth training and upskilling.
