Laptop Maker Acer Launches Electric Scooter in India

Taiwanese multinational hardware and electronics giant, Acer, which is popular in India for its laptops and notebooks, has launched electric scooter — Acer MUVI 125 4G — with a starting price of Rs 1 lakh. This electric scooter, designed and manufactured by an EV Startup, Think eBikeGo Pvt Ltd, is focussed on revolutionising urban commuting.

Available in three distinct color options: White, Black, and Grey, the e-scooter can be customised or personalized as per the customers.

The MUVI 125 4G can also be customized for the B2B segment, particularly for local food and grocery delivery applications.

The MUVI 125 4G, which qualifies for both Central and state-level government subsidies, is the first EV model to be launched under the Acer brand in India. In the near future, the company plans to introduce multiple 2 and 3-wheeler EVs, such as e-bicycles, e-bikes, e-trikes, etc.

Pre-bookings for the e-scooter is currently open for ₹999/- and are being managed by Think eBikeGo, which are fully refundable. These pre-bookings serve as an expression of interest only. Final product specifications and designs are subject to change. In addition, the company has also invited those interested in dealership opportunities to express their Intent.

First showcased at the EV India Expo 2023 in Greater Noida in September this year, the MUVI 125 4G e-scooter comes with swappable batteries, ensuring hassle-free charging. The two removable of 48V 35.2Ah each offer a range of 80 kilometres per charge and can reach a top speed of 75 km/hour. The company claims that it can be charged to full in around four hours and riders can even opt to use just one battery at a time.

Amritsar based eBikeGo Rental Startup Raises $300K in Funding led by Startup Buddy

eBikeGO, an electric two wheeler rental start up has raised $300,000 as part of its recent funding round led by Startup Buddy.

The round also saw participation from other investors like Singer Sukhbir Singh, Rajesh Sawhney (Co-Founder of Innerchef), Rohit Chanana (Founder, Sarcha Advisory), Siddartha Ahluwalia (Founder of 100x Entrepreneur), Boudhik Ventures, Milind Garud, Arun Gholap, Shantanu Vinekar and other senior corporate executives.

Amritsar based eBikeGo is now expanding to four other cities Mumbai , Bangalore , Hyderabad and Pune with the increasing demand and also increasing their fleet in cities they are already in. They are also working to expand the service network in different parts of the city to provide a solution for the customers and business partners using the two wheelers.

eBikeGo also hopes to expand its network to include Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata in the near future.

Singer Sukhbir Singh Investing in Electric Vehicle Startup eBikeGo

Startup Buddy who was appointed as advisor to Singer Sukhbir Singh for his investments in Startups has announced that Sukhbir Singh has selected eBikeGo for his second investment in India, after investing in LQI as his first angel investment in India.

Amritsar based electric mobility startup, eBikeGo is in the process of raising funds and it will deploy these funds to expand its operations to other cities in India as well as for increasing their fleet in Delhi.

eBikeGo is India's first ever electric two wheeler rental platform that provides economical and environmentally friendly travelling option for everyone. Founded in the year 2017 by Dr. Irfan Khan, they first started their operations in Amritsar with Okinawa scooters and then expanded to Delhi, Jaipur and Ludhiana. eBikeGo is bootstrap startup and has raised their initial investment from friends and family.

eBikeGo is working with different delivery companies to convert their fleet into electric and has tieups with companies like Zomato, Delhivery, Ferns & Petals, Gostops etc.

Last November, eBikeGo announced its launch claiming as India's first ever platform offering electronic mode of transportation which runs for around 200 kms after an electronic charge for about 2 hrs and makes the daily movement zippy with a speed of 75 km/ hr.

The startup targets to have their services in 30 cities (100 clusters) within the next one year. The start-up aims to reduce 2-3% of the pollution through this unique eco-friendly electric mobility solution.
