87% Indian Businesses Considering Long-Term Work from Home Plans

According to a report by BCG-Zoom, 87 per cent Indian business are mulling over making work from home a permanent option. The report also concluded that there has been close to three times increase in employees working remote at businesses surveyed.

To evaluate the economic impact of remote work and video communications solutions during the pandemic, Zoom commissioned the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to conduct a survey and economic analysis, focusing on what industries were able to pivot their business processes using video conferencing, resulting in business continuity and even growth during a time of significant economic turmoil.

The resulting report, prepared by Zoom based on the survey data and findings made by BCG, spans key industries and six countries around the globe, including India, US, UK, Japan, France and Germany.

The total time spent on video conferencing solutions increased 3-5x at businesses surveyed. BCG’s Covid-19 employee sentiment survey from 2020 showed that 70% of managers surveyed are more open to flexible remote working models than they were before the pandemic.

Businesses surveyed expect over a third of employees to work remotely beyond the pandemic.

As countries around the world grappled with lockdowns, people rapidly adopted remote work and video conferencing solutions. Through the swift and effective implementation of remote work, businesses within these countries were able to save both money and jobs that may have been lost as a result of the pandemic. In the U.S., for example, the ability to work remotely helped save 2.28 million jobs.

To look at how video communication solutions affect the way people work, both now and in the future, the survey aspect of the report asked respondents to estimate what share of employees in their company used video conferencing solutions in 2019, 2020, and expected to in 2022.

Results were grouped by enterprise and small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMB).

Work From Home jobs witness a 3X jump post-Pandemic: Naukri.com

Led by the Covid-19 pandemic, as more companies announce the extension of work-from-home policy, the Indian workforce is witnessing a behavioral shift. The remote working revolution saw many employees enjoy greater flexibility and control on their personal and professional lives including saving on huge commute times. As a result, Work From Home jobs have witnessed a 7x growth in applications in the last few months as compared to pre-COVID times. Hiring for remote jobs too has seen a robust growth and has increased by 3X as compared to pre-COVID levels this year. Even the percentage contribution of WFH jobs has gone up by 4X in 2020 versus 2019 as a result of the global pandemic.

The keyword, ‘Work From Home’ has been one of the top 3 most searched keywords by jobseekers in the last five months on Naukri’s platform.

Commenting on the data trends, Pawan Goyal, Chief Business Officer at Naukri.com said, “We have seen the Work From Home trend grow in the last few years but the growth has accelerated multi-fold due to the global pandemic. While the office is here to stay, greater acceptance of remote working will pave way for a hybrid-working model in the coming future. It’s also interesting to note that traditionally office based or on-ground roles such as Sales/ Business Development and Customer Care Agents are now being offered with WFH options."

Around half of remote job postings are from the BPO/ ITES sector, resulting in robust growth of WFH jobs from the industry. IT-Software, Education/Teaching and Internet/Ecommerce contribute to another quarter of work from home jobs. WFH jobs have also emerged in unlikely sectors such as Publishing, BFSI and Education/Teaching that have conventionally required the physical presence of the employee. However, the most impacted industries like Travel and Staffing continue to decline in hiring even in remote jobs.

The WFH trend was also a recurring topic discussed in webinars organized as part of Naukri’s Step-Up initiative and saw many queries directed to industry experts from jobseekers on remote working jobs, increasing productivity and communicating with teams and managers effectively in these times.

"We have seen an averag,e 20 per cent jump in data traffic in India in the last three weeks. Collaborative tools, video streaming app and gaming apps now account for around 80 per cent of the total internet traffic in India," DE-CIX International CEO Ivo Ivanov told PTI.

He said that the surge in data consumption without complaint of work getting affected shows that digital infrastructure is going to be key for managing economies.

"This type of behaviour of people using collaborative tools with some people being first time users shows that it could stay even after the coronavirus problem is solved," Ivanov said.

During COVID-19 Crisis, ArchChat Makes it Possible for Architects & Designers to Work from Home

As COVID-19 continues to ravage across continents, businesses across the globe have taken a hit. In India, where real estate was just looking to stabilise, COVID has forced the sector into an extended slump, as construction and architectural projects come to a standstill. As most businesses re-imagine operations, the construction and design community will need to quickly adapt to remote working possibilities and stay relevant as isolation and social distancing become the norm.

[caption id="attachment_144019" align="alignleft" width="257"] Chetan K Singh, ArchChat Founder and a Designer[/caption]

"The design community needs to explore new ways to sustain their business while they work from home as more than a billion people are quarantined to fight the deadly COVID-19 virus," shares Chetan K Singh, ArchChat Founder and a Designer himself. He further adds that "Unlike some businesses, design projects need active communication and interaction amongst internal and external teams."

Archdaily, a global news platform for the design industry observed that among the main challenges that architects report while working from home include reduced communication with the rest of the team and the impossibility of visiting the site or meeting with suppliers and customers. This challenge can be bridged by ArchChat.

The design and construction community currently uses WhatsApp groups and email to collaborate with internal teams and external project stakeholders.

WhatsApp is an excellent social communication platform but can't be used effectively to collaborate with all businesses stakeholders due to privacy concerns and difficulties in tracing and tracking information.

While there are excellent design collaboration tools like AutoCad 360, BIM tools, SolidWorks, BricsCAD etc, there was no communication collaboration tool till ArchChat was launched in January 2020.

Chetan K Singh said that "ArchChat is 100% free for architects, designers, engineering consultants and their clients. Using this easy-to-use platform, the design community can work from home and continue with business as usual."

Each project on ArchChat is like a WhatsApp group while being able to chat privately in a preferred language, and view respective communications for each drawing, design, and product sorted by project spaces. For instance, chats related to a living room are inside the 'living room' folder. Chats about each drawing, design, and product-related to the living room are saved with respective documents. With ArchChat, product sellers become collaborators when their products are saved to project spaces. This kind of integrated collaboration brings all together.

Chetan Singh recommends that designers use video conferencing tools like Google Meet, Hangouts, Skype, Zoom, etc to have virtual calls during this time to stay on top of project goals while leaving all project organization to ArchChat.

The survival of many freelancers, small and medium sized professional firms, manufacturers, and sellers is at stake. Working remotely in an efficient manner will save the design and construction industry from the current crisis.

About ArchChat

ArchChat is the only communication platform to collaborate on design and construction projects. It is also the only platform that lets project owners, architects & designers, engineering consultants, contractors, product manufacturers, sellers, art galleries, service providers like 3D designers and photographers come together to communicate and collaborate easily on live projects. ArchChat is used globally by thousands of designers. It has offices in Singapore and Gurgaon, India.

Real Ways To Earn Money Without A Job And Without Leaving Home

The crisis caused by the coronavirus requires us to solve a number of tasks, both important and not very much so. The health care, that of your own and of your loved ones, is in the first place. And what matters next for the vast majority of us is having a job and money. Due to a sharp drop in production, the closure of enterprises and companies, quarantine and forced isolation, our financial stability and well-being have been threatened, revenues have gone down, and some have already reached zero. All this makes one wonder what to do and how to go on with one's life.

There are many ways to earn money without leaving your home. It is enough to have the Internet connection and a computer, a tablet or a smartphone. It is already now that millions of people, from schoolchildren to pensioners, earn extra income by clicking on the buttons of their gadgets, and some have even made it their main occupation.

You can earn money by clicking on links and viewing advertising texts and videos specified in the customer's task, and get 1, 2, or even 5 dollars a day for this. About the same amount can be obtained in social media by subscribing to the pages specified by the employer, joining groups, making "reposts", "tweets", and putting "likes".

You can earn money posting videos, having created your own YouTube channel and connecting ads from Google. But keep in mind that this must be a video created by you personally, otherwise YouTube will block your channel for plagiarism. Average earnings are $1-2 per 1000 views. Another option for "enrichment" is to publish advertising texts of your customers on various online forums, at a price of $0.5 per 1 placement.

Experts can name many other ways to make money by clicking on the keyboard buttons, but all of them do not compare to the profit that can be brought by online trading in currencies, cryptocurrencies, stocks, oil or precious metals. In terms of profitability, this trade is hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of times more profitable than the revenue from viewing ads or clicks in social media. With just a hundred or two dollars, you can earn thousands, tens of thousands of dollars. Some even become millionaires, and this is an undeniable fact.

"Of course, you can earn a lot," experts will say, " but you can also lose a lot." This, of course, is true to a certain point, but "a lot" is a relative concept: for some $5 is a lot of money, and for some $10,000 is not much. It is probably more correct to determine the degree of risk by comparing the ratio of possible losses and possible profits. Here lies the most important advantage of this type of earnings as trading in financial markets: the leverage.

Leverage is the credit that the online broker that you will start working with will automatically provide you for trading, immediately and without any collateral or securities (!). Let's take such an old and proven broker as NordFX as an example. So, it provides its clients with a leverage of up to 1 to 1000. As a result, having, say, only $100 in your account, you can make transactions worth 1000 times more! That is $100,000! Accordingly, your profit will be calculated from $100,000, and you risk only a hundred dollars.

And if your account has not a hundred, but several thousand dollars, then you will already be able to manage millions, buying and selling dollars, euros, pounds, yen, and dozens of other currencies. As for trading cryptocurrencies, for example, you will only need $150 to buy Bitcoin at its current price of $6,000 with the NordFX broker.

See how profitable it is?

In addition to currencies and cryptocurrencies, NordFX clients can make transactions with gold, silver, oil, major stock indexes such as Dow Jones, SPX500, NASDAQ, etc. They can also buy and sell shares of many world leading companies, including IBM, JP Morgan Chase, Coca-Cola, Mastercard, McDonalds, Microsoft, Twitter, UBER, eBay, and many others.

And, please note, this is very, very important! Especially in the context of the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis. The NordFX client can earn not only on the growth, but also ... on the fall in the price of any of the listed assets, while not even possessing them! That is, the client can make a great profit, even if, for example, Bitcoin or the Bank of America shares collapse to zero, and Boeing turns out to be completely bankrupt.

Is it a fairy tale? No, it is 100% reality! Experts from the brokerage company NordFX Support Service  will be happy to tell you in detail how such a miracle can happen.

And in conclusion, a few words for those who, for some reason, either for the lack of time or desire, do not want or cannot trade on their own. Don't you want to? You don't need to! Others can do it for you. First, there are trading robots: special computer programs that will perform transactions completely on their own 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Secondly, you can automatically copy trades of experienced traders from all over the world to your account. And finally, third, you can invest your funds in NordFX specialized Investment Funds. It is quite possible that now is the best time for this, because, as the old exchange rule says, "you need to buy on panic, sell on euphoria", and the panic caused by COVID-19 will allow you to become a co-owner of many world giants at the best price.

Do you have any questions left? Of course, you do! You can't but have them, as the world of online trading in financial markets is limitless, just as the profit that can be obtained here is limitless. And all this without leaving your home computer. Although, some manage to cope with a smartphone while walking with their favorite pet or  during a morning jog. It is important just to start, not to miss the chance, and then, as the ancient Romans said, "Viam supervadet vadens": "The road is made by walking".

The beginning of the road is here!
