After all the waitings and anticipations from iPhone lovers, Apple has finally unveiled not just one new iPhone model but two - iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. People in selected countries can pre-order iPhone 6 starting September 12.
At first, both new iPhone models will available in 9 countries namely - US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Hongkong, Singapore and Japan.
The iPhone 6 is the smaller than 'iPhone 6 plus', with a 4.7-inch display and 1334 x 750 pixel resolution. While, the iPhone 6 Plus sports a larger 5.5-inch panel and a more pixel-dense 1920 x 1080 resolution. As expected both have "Retina HD" displays, which Apple describes as a "new generation" of screens for its smartphones. For context, the iPhone 6 Plus features 185 percent more pixels than the current iPhone 5s.
Both devices are utlra-thin, the iPhone 6 comes in at 6.9mm, while the larger iPhone 6 Plus manages a still attractive 7.1mm. iPhone predecessor iPhone 5s, measured 7.6mm on the side.
Both models sport curved edges and rounded corners and the back has been constructed from anodized aluminium and features a "stainless steel Apple" logo.
Apple has announced several new wireless features for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, including faster Wi-Fi that achieves speeds of up to 3x faster than previous models. New VoLTE technology is also preset, allowing speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
Prices
Bigger model iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299 and goes upto $499 for 128GB; while iPhone 6 starts at $199 and goes upto $399 for 128GB memory.
First Time Features
VoLTE - Voice over LTE calling has been enabled, and can take advantage of the new Wi-Fi hardware to place calls over a Wi-Fi connection while still using your cellular phone number. iPhone 6 supports over 200 LTE carriers around the world. Including all three in China. India has only Aircel and Airtel who provides LTE technology.
Focus Pixels in the all-new sensor help iPhone 6 focus faster and better. Focus Pixels are a technology previously found only in professional DSLR cameras and iPhone will be first smartphone in world to incorporate this.
Apple Pay is yet another new feature, it's basically fast & secure online wallet service from Apple where make payments online with one tap and there's no need to fill out lengthy account forms. Card details are kept private and won’t be shared with the online merchant. You can simply add a card from your iTunes account and to add a different card, just use your iSight camera and make payments online with the simple touch of your finger using Touch ID. Your card number is never stored or shared on your device or Apple servers. Apple Pay will work with the three major payment networks: American Express, MasterCard, and Visa. Apple Pay will be available in the U.S. in October 2014. And work is underway to take it worldwide in the near future.
Other Notable Features
The iPhone 6 is up to 50% faster than the original iPhone and is up to 50% more energy efficient, so you can have higher sustained performance.
It has an 8MP iSight camera, 1.5µ pixels, f/2.2 aperture and an all-new sensor. The iPhone 6 can judge distance and elevation, so you can get credit for flights of stairs in all those fitness apps. The phone have Cinematic video stabilization, Time-lapse video shot, Continuous autofocus shot and has improved face detection for selfies and group selfies.
With 802.11ac, iPhone 6 Wi-Fi speeds are up to three times faster than iPhone 5s. The iPhone 6 Plus will play games in higher resolution than next generation consoles.
iPhone 6 has a barometer that senses air pressure to measure relative elevation. The barometer is great for fitness apps. iPhone can now tell if you’re going up molehills, mountains, and everything in between.

Availability & Pricing in India
Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones will be available in India starting October 17 according to Apple's India website. This mean the new iPhones will hit retail stores in the festival season of Diwali.
While pricing details are not available, the unlocked version of the iPhone 6 will be available at a starting price of $649 (Rs 39,500 approximately) in the US. The unlocked version of iPhone 6 Plus will be available at a starting price of $749 (Rs 45,600 approximately).
