Fiinovation Provides Technical Support for a COVID-19 Relief and Awareness Project in Mahesana, Gujarat, Supported by Sandvik

Amid country wide lockdown to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd. (Fiinovation), provides technical support for a COVID-19 Relief and Awareness project in Mahesana, Gujrat, supported by Sandvik Asia Pvt. Ltd., a renowned high-tech and global engineering group.

The intervention aims to facilitate essential monthly supplies to the marginalised community during the crisis, and raise awareness on COVID-19 as the underprivileged section of the society continue to remain the worst hit. The project will be implemented in Rajpur village and other surrounding villages near Sandvik's plant in Gujarat and will support the food and hygiene needs of over 500 underprivileged families throughout the lockdown.

Gurumukhi Adiwasi Vikas Trust, a non-profit organisation working towards the holistic upliftment of tribal and rural communities, will implement the project on ground. Temporary Distribution Centres (DC) will be established for the purpose of regular distribution of dry ration kits and hygiene kits. The intervention also aims to conduct various awareness programmes to educate the beneficiaries for containment and prevention of COVID-19.

Fiinovation & SMS India Partner for COVID-19 Relief Project in Kolkata

Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd. (Fiinovation) and SMS India Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram (SMS group Germany subsidiary), a leading plant supplier to the metallurgical industry, have joined hands and designed a community level CSR project for fostering awareness for COVID-19 and aiding the marginalized section of the society. The project will be implemented in Ward Slum No. 38 in Kolkata which include areas such as, Gas Street, Nakibulla Lane, Antony Bagan Lane, Ramnath Biswas Lane, Kali Shome Street, Patwar Bagan Lane, Harshee Street, Canal East Road, Canal West Road, Chamru Singh Lane, Harinath Dey Road and Ward Institution Street. The intervention aims to provide basic and essential supplies to the destitute and financially weak section of the society.

The project will benefit approximately 1500 slum households of the targeted region. Dr. Nikhil Vihari Memorial Foundation, a civil society organization that has been working towards development of health, livelihood and education in the under privileged and backward sections of the society in Kolkata will handle the on-ground requirements and manage the implementation. As part of the project, various temporary distribution centres will be set up in the slum areas for the distribution of pre-packaged food ration.

The project has been holistically designed to spread awareness among the target beneficiaries about various preventive measures that can keep them safe from the Coronavirus. Multiple awareness drives will be conducted to educate the beneficiaries about proper hand washing techniques and personal hygiene practices. Hygiene kits will also be distributed among the targeted households in order to encourage them to adopt safe hygiene practices.

Ever since the outbreak of the COVID-19 in India, Fiinovation has been collectively working with its implementation partners across the country and taking affirmative measures aimed to foster the local communities to fight the battle against the pandemic. Fiinovation Joins Hands with Admitad India to Help Daily Wage Earners

In order to insulate the economic repercussions of COVID-19 on the marginalised section of the society, especially the daily wage earners, Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd. (Fiinovation) has joined hands with Admitad India, a part of Admitad- a global affiliate network. As part of the partnership, a community level intervention has been designed to support the people living in the slum regions around Delhi-NCR, and also the migrant labourers.

Discipleship Centre, a Delhi-based NGO that has been actively working towards sustainable development of marginalized communities, will manage the on-ground implementation of the project. Ration kits along with essential commodities such as masks, sanitizers and hygiene kits will be donated to the families of the labourers and daily wagers. The project also envisions various precautionary and awareness measures for protection against COVID-19.

Fiinovation has been closely monitoring the situation since the outbreak of the epidemic and has been actively designing community-level social initiatives along with its implementation partners.
