The first B2B(Business to Business) expo after COVID in the country, “Preventive Healthcare & Infection Control Expo cum Conference” concluded here in Hyderabad at Hitex on Saturday evening on an encouraging note informs Sambid Mund, GM of Hitex, Satya of FMC and Dr Ranga Reddy of IFCAI
The first hybrid expo—both ground and online showcased innovative technology, products and best practices to adapt to the “New Normal”. It had well over 100 innovative products born before and after the pandemic.
The maiden attempt by Hitex and their supporting organizations in organizing the expo after the lockdown lifted is well received. The response was very encouraging. This gave organizers more confidence. The encouraging response might kick start MICE events in near future. Hitex will be too happy to associate with any like-minded organizations to organize similar expos relevant and useful to the current scenario and society at large. It will also help revive expo industry, said Sambit Mund, GM, Business Development, Hitex.

It was organised by HITEX (Hyderabad International Trade Exhibitions Limited); Government of Telangana; IFCAI (Infection Control Academy of India); HYSEA(Hyderabad Software Exporters Association); TFMC (Telangana Facility Management Association), IMA(India Medical Association) – Telangana; BDMA(Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association); TRSMA(Telangana Recognized Schools Management Association); TSHA(Telangana State Hotels Association); IAMM(Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists - Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chapter); Phamrexcil(Pharmaceutical Export Council).
Several knowledge sharing sessions, panel discussions, seminars, professionals interactions, training programs held on the various aspects of associated subjects.
Two Certificate Training programs, one on Infection Practices and Controls and two on Cleanroom Decontamination Practices held. According to Dr. Burri Ranga Reddy, President, Infection Control Academy of India, the certificate training program on Cleanrooms is very significant as 50 per cent of global installed capacity for the Corona Vaccine is in Hyderabad. Several city-based companies received warnings in the recent past from USFDA, UKMHRA and TGA Australia for deficiency in hygiene and decontamination practices. They needed to be spruced up by bringing up skills and knowledge in life sciences.

They have also felicitated several IT companies for their relief work during the covid. Doctors and Health workers from Gandhi and other government hospitals were also felicitated.

According to Deepthi Nathala, Founder of Dibbu Solutions, the one-year-old city-based Startup has showcased washable and reusable face mask and headgears. The textile is manufactured using disinfectants. The fabric is proven and tested against H1N1, COVID, Ecoli, and Salmonella. The fabric is safe against dust, S02, No2, Pollen and Ultraviolet A & B sun rays.
