Television actress Rashami Desai has become the first Indian television actress to collaborate with Google for it's newly launched app, Cameos -- a new video-based Q&A app that allows people to answer questions about themselves, then share those answers directly on Google.

Google Cameo app is aimed at celebrities and other public figures, who are often the subject of people’s Google searches.

Rashami Desai shared a video on her Instagram handle, in which she broke the news to her fans and asked them to send in their questions and she'll personally answer them. "So excited to be the first Indian television actress to have collaborated with @googleindia @google for Cameos on Google. Now you can know more about me from me directly! Thanks google India for this lovely initiative," the Dil Se Dil Tak actress captioned the video post.

With the Cameos app, celebrities and public figures can address fans' questions in their own voice, instead of leaving the answers up to other websites.

Launched in 2018, Cameos App is an extension of the previous "Posts on Google" feature, which allow businesses to share messages directly with their customers which show up in the local panel on Google search and on Google Maps.

A celebrity, after signing up for Cameos App, can record a video to answer the most asked questions about them and post it directly to Google. The app will also show them popular questions on the internet about them. This way if a fan searches for that particular question, Google Search will throw up the celeb’s recorded video in the Search results.
