Sachin Tendulkar-backed firm Smartron, has announced the launch of India’s first smart crossover electric bike -- Tronx One, by its subsidiary Tronx Motors. Comes with a introductory price tag of Rs. 49,999, the new e-bike is touted to be India's first smart crossover electric bike.
The shipping of e-bike will commence from 16 July for the first batch of customers who have pre-booked their e-bikes, said the Hyderabad-based company in a statement to a daily. Smartron has started accepting bookings for the Tronx One here.
Available in two color -- Magma Red and Pacific Blue, the e-bike claims to deliver a maximum speed of 25 kilometers per hour. On a single charge of its detachable 36V 13.6 Ah Lithium 500 W battery powered by Samsung cells, it is rated to provide power for up to 70 to 85 kilometers.
To enable a connected experience, the bike also works with an integrated companion app - tbike, that allows to sync the ride data with the companion app; switch ride modes from the integrated display button pad, and lets riders estimate range and even set fitness goals directly from a smartphone.
The crossover e-bike comes with multiple ride modes and Virtual Gears coupled with 3 Electric Gears and 6 speed Shimano Shifters which are enabled to extend and adjust the range and speed of the bike, letting you take seamless control over your ride. The mid step-thru frame is made for basic comfort and ease of users and is also ergonomic and adaptable for anyone who rides it. TRONX ONE is built on a premium AEROGRADE ALLOY frame material which is used in the construction of aircrafts and is rust proof.

Tronx Motors has partnered with service and care partners across 9 select cities- Mumbai, Goa, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad - where the bike will first be available for consumers to try and ride as well, based on appointment slots.
