Perspectico, which is just a little over two-months-old edtech startuo, has raised incubation support and an undisclosed amount of funding from the incubation cell of Delhi University, SIIF. SSCBS Innovation and Incubation Foundation (SIIF) is an outcome of Incubation Policy from Govt. of NCT, Delhi. Perspectico will use the funds for marketing, expansion of team and footprint across multiple colleges/geographies. The company plans to raise a Pre-Series A round in another 6-9 months.

Perspectico is India's first platform that enables fresher’s and young employees answer two questions – (1) what career should I pursue? and (2) how to get the career of my choice? Perspectico’s approach is entirely practical and focuses only on those aspects that are required in work life. Perspectico hopes to guide students and career aspirants, in the most objective way, on careers of their choice with the sole mission to help students understand and ace their chosen careers.

Perspectico was started in September’17 by Nikhil Chainani, who worked in the Nomura Investment Banking team in Mumbai before starting this venture. The concept was developed based on his own experiences during his campus placements. Perspectico provides the missing ingredient in placement preparation which almost every student in India faces. Perspectico aims to provide career perspectives directly from someone who has recently started a job in a particular field or has one to two years’ experience. Such interactions are very useful for students.

Commenting on the incubation support, Nikhil Chainani, Founder of Perspectico said, “We are very excited to get incubated under SIIF.SIIF brings valuable insights into higher institutions of learning as well as networks which will help Perspectico reach the right stakeholders – both students and academicians. Their panel is made up of several prominent academicians and this is a big positive for Perspectico. We want to also work with placement cells to bring a practical perspective to classroom lectures. This validates our concept and gives external parties’ confidence in us.”

Naresh Priyadarshi ,CEO, SIIF, Alumni of CBS and IIM A said “SIIF is proud to be supporting Perspectico, a start-up venture of Nikhil Chainani who also happens to be an alumnus of SSCBS. Our support to Perspectico includes funding, facilities, mentoring and industry networking.”

Based out of New Delhi, Perspectico has big plans and wants to closely work with placement cells, coaching institutions, placement agencies and companies to provide practically trained and clued in candidates. It wants to leverage technology to reach a wider audience. Perspectico has successfully experimented with creating short career related podcasts telling people about interview processes of companies in finance sector, their work culture and future prospects. These are based on actual interviews conducted with freshers who have recently cracked into their dream careers. It wants to extend this to other domains.
