OhoShop, a SaaS based m-commerce enabler and maker of quick, affordable and branded mobile applications and websites for small and mid-sized enterprises, has raised $1 million in funding from BCCL. The funds will be utilized for marketing push.

OhoShop was founded in March 2016 by serial entrepreneurs Abhishek Agarwal, Rakesh Jain and Nidhi Agarwal, who have extensive experience in serving clients across 70 countries and diverse industries.

OhoShop seeks to digitally empower local stores and businesses to help them counter the onslaught of e-commerce and organized retail. It provides them instant, personalized, fully functional apps and mobile websites under an affordably priced subscription-based model. Its ability to churn out apps within hours can be credited to the robust platform that it has built for several end-markets such as fashion, restaurant, grocery, spa & salon, pharmacy, etc.

The company already has a substantial customer base from all across the country with a skeletal team. Its immediate goal is to increase the penetration in metros and its home turf Gujarat where it sees the largest potential.

“Our consistent efforts have paid off and the trust shown in our abilities by the investors is indeed encouraging. OhoShop has lined up aggressive expansion plans and the funds will help us build our brand and expand our presence,” said Abhishek Agarwal, Co-founder & CEO, OhoShop m-commerce Pvt. Ltd.
