Earlier in the year, we reported about how HP was planning on launching two industrial 3D printers, Jet Fusion 3200 and 4200, that would be capable of producing objects at a speed that is ten times faster and cost almost half the amount as any similar printer in the market. And the great news is, these awesome printers are finally here.

The global printer and personal computer major unveiled the world’s first production-ready commercial 3D printing system at the largest 3D additive manufacturing conference, RAPID. The launch can be considered as HP's next big move in its mission towards bringing disruptive manufacturing solutions to the market.

By joining hands with biggies like Nike and BMW for its commercial 3D printers, HP aims to completely revolutionize the design, prototyping and manufacturing industry.

The HP Jet Fusion 3D Printing Solution isn't just like any regular 3D printer. According to HP, it is a truly integrated end-to-end solution which they have designed to overcome all the existing pain points in the 3D printing processes currently in action.

An enclosed, automated processing station works towards providing customers a cleaner materials loading and mixing experience. The solution includes a build unit that moves into the HP Jet Fusion 3D Printer, where HP fusing and detailing agents are at work with HP Multi Jet Fusion technology and materials so as to deliver the customers not only fine details and dimensional accuracy, but optimal mechanical properties as well. The build unit then returns to the Processing Station, which consists of an enclosed unpacking and material collection system for cleaner extraction and a fast-cooling module. With its fast cooling process, HP provides its customers the power to increase the number of parts they produce within a day, when compared to any other existing cooling processes.

By having the capability of printing functional parts at the individual voxel level (a voxel is the 3D equivalent of a 2D pixel in traditional printing), HP's 3D printers provides its customers an unprecedented ability to transform part properties and deliver mass customization.

It's easy-to-use software does away with all the existing 3D file format challenges. Through accurate build time estimations, embedded quality checks, and automated packing, it easily streamlines print preparation and job monitoring.

While the HP Jet Fusion 3D 3200 Printer offers its customers improved productivity and the capacity to grow usage at a lower cost per part making it an ideal printer for prototyping. The HP Jet Fusion 3D 4200 Printer, on the other hand, looks after the prototyping as well as short-run manufacturing needs of its customers, with its high productivity and makes its easy for people to accomplish same business day demands at the lowest possible cost per part.

The HP Jet Fusion 3D 3200 Printer starts at $130,000. While the pricing for the full end-to-end solution (inclusive of both HP Jet Fusion 3D 3200 Printer and Processing Station) begins at $155,000. HP will be delivering the HP Jet Fusion 3D 4200 Printer in late 2016, with the HP Jet Fusion 3D 3200 Printer going out in 2017.
