Mumbai-based logistics solutions platform LogiNext has acquired YourGuy, a cross-category last mile delivery company in a mixed cash and equity deal. Post acquisition, YourGuy's 200 delivery personnel and the team of 20 will be absorbed by Sprintr, the last mile delivery vertical of LogiNext.
"We will be using the Sprintr platform to on-board regional last-mile delivery players who use our tech and pay us a share in the commission. LogiNext will also direct business to these regional players to incentivize the association," said Dhruvil Sanghvi, CEO of LogiNext.
LogiNext is also looking at acquiring a last mile delivery player in Delhi-NCR to strengthen the Sprintr vertical.
YourGuy deliver products like meal boxes, medicines, important documents, clothes and a bunch of other items; all across Mumbai within a few hours from pickup, starting at 6am until midnight. Using bikes, vehicles and all forms of public transport that the city offers, the company claims that it specialists in getting the products delivered in the fastest and most cost-effective manner.
YourGuy does an average of 4,000 orders per day from varied customers including Godrej Nature's Basket, Subruban Diagnostics, Wellness Forever and others. With this acquisition, LogiNext will be doubling its daily orders. The last mile vertical of LogiNext works with eCommerce players Paytm and Myntra as well as other food delivery companies and pharmacies which constitute 30 per cent of the lastmile business. Sprintr has a presence in four cities - Gurgaon, Mumbai, Jaipur and Ahmedabad, it has 250 delivery personnel and managing over 5,000 daily deliveries.
