On July 24,  people across the world will get 24 hours to capture a moment of their lives on camera and the most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into an experimental documentary film by YouTube called - Life in a Day, an experimental documentary feature film which eventually could become world's largest user-generated feature film shot in a single day.

People across the world can capture any of their life moments from 24 hours of 24th of July 2010 and can upload it to the Life in a Day channel any time before July 31 and if that footage make it to final feature film premiered at Sundance Film Festival in January 2010, the 20 shortlisted footage uploaders will credit of Co-Director of that World Largest user generated feature film.

This unique user generated documentary feature film is produced by Gladiator and Black Hawk Down producer Ridley Scott and directed by Scottish director Kevin Macdonald. The aim of director thourgh this move is to take a snap-shot of life on earth during one 24-hour time. Kevin the director of movie on this social filming experiment stated on youtube that - "Ultimately, this is an unique experiment on social film making and a time capsule that will tell our future generations that what it likes to be alive on 24th of July 2010".
