Over 3,000 decision-makers will convene in New Delhi on 23rd and 24th November 2023, to explore India's tech ecosystem, celebrate its growth story, and foster innovation, echoing PM Modi's vision for a future driven by technology.

Way back in 2013, Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi envisioned "IT+IT=IT; Indian talent + Information technology = India Tomorrow." This timeless statement, etched in the annals of time, resonates anew in his recent clarion call that "this era is a golden opportunity for India" and "the work done now will impact the next 1,000 years." It is with this resolute belief that global future tech events leader Trescon, with its Strategic Partner Cyberverse Foundation, proudly presents the inaugural Digital Acceleration & Transformation Expo (DATE) on 23rd and 24th November 2023 in New Delhi, India.

Demystifying AI and RPA Technologies for the Indian BFSI & NBFC Sectors

The BFSI sector seems to be raring to go on the AI and automation front, harnessing the maximum advantage of market opportunities. Indian banks such as State Bank of India (SBI) and Bank of Baroda are already betting big on AI. Speaking of the Indian NBFC sector that has been facing a rough stretch due to the recent liquidity crises, India’s shadow banks are seeing a sign of silver lining by revamping their lending processes through state-of-the-art technologies such as AI, Analytics, ML and Automation. Everything from algorithms for alternate credit scores, fraud detection and customer on-boarding, the tech driven NBFC industry has the potential for huge business growth in India. However, being the IT capital of South Asia and a leader in producing IT infrastructure and manpower, where does India stand as a potential contender in the race for AI and RPA leadership among top countries like South Korea, the United States, Germany, Singapore and Japan?

“We are headed into the post-digital era which is creating a whole new market entirely. It has become imperative to keep pace with emerging technologies like AI and RPA that are changing the face of modern businesses. AI-powered applications will help create value by augmenting business processes, especially in the banking sector where customer-centricity is central”, said Sunit Vakharia, CIO of Bank of Baroda Financial Services Limited, who will be sharing more of his views at the upcoming World AI Show (BFSI & NBFC), taking place on 20 September 2019 at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai. The show, organized by international business events and consulting firm Trescon, will facilitate a platform to connect leading experts, technology providers and integrators from the AI space to demonstrate real-world industry use cases, discussions on intelligent automation and adoption challenges of AI & RPA for enterprises and its impact on the BFSI Sector.

Speakers for World AI Show will include, Sonny George, Chief General Manager of State Bank of India; Vivek Zakarde, Head - Analytics, BI & DWH for Reliance General Insurance Company Limited; Sunit Vakharia, CIO of Bank of Baroda Financial Services Limited; Kersi Tavadia, CIO of Bombay Stock Exchange; Rajendranath Mughalraj, Vice President – Information Technology for Bharti AXA General Insurance and Nitin Bhandari, Head - Digital Business, APAC, Western Union, among other top speakers.

When asked about the upcoming event, CEO and Founder of Trescon, Mohammed Saleem said, “The Indian digital ecosystem is budding and companies are venturing into disruptive technologies. The mainstream adoption of AI, ML and RPA across businesses will create a massive economic impact for India in the coming years. World AI Show was curated to spread awareness of more potential real-world use cases of AI for Indian industries by top solution providers and AI experts.”

The event will also honour the top 50 representatives from the BFSI sector & top 50 representatives from the NBFC sector for their contribution within the Indian financial realm.

World AI Leaders from Dell Technologies, Rolls-Royce and Kryon, among others, Discuss AI Strategies in Singapore

The Singapore edition of World AI Show reinvigorated the nation’s AI efforts by bringing in top global investors, startups, digital companies, solution providers and AI experts such as Dr Terence Hung from Rolls-Royce Singapore; Sutowo Wong from the Ministry of Health, Singapore; and Guido Jouret, Chief Digital Officer of ABB; to name a few.

Given its infrastructure capacity, education system and investor-friendly laws, Singapore has all the right ingredients to nurture a robust AI ecosystem that could be the cornerstone for the small island’s economic upswing. According to a recent report by Accenture, AI could add up to US$215 billion in gross value across 11 industries in Singapore by 2035. With the Singapore government’s vehement efforts to foster initiatives in the AI space, the nation was the ideal location to host the 9th edition of the global World AI Show series that had hit the ground running for the second time in Singapore on 24 July 2019.

The show was organised by international business events and consulting firm, Trescon.

“Singapore is one of the top locations for AI and Robotics investments. Our mission was to fuel Singapore’s AI startup ecosystem by bringing in some of the world’s best AI innovators, solution providers, startups and investors to foster business opportunities for the Singapore government as well as regional and international companies”, said Mohammed Saleem, CEO of Trescon.

300+ top industry leaders from the AI community came together to share their insights on how AI is transcending as a core enabling technology that can power multiple sectors.

Top speakers for the event included Dr Terence Hung, Chief of Future Intelligence Technologies, Rolls-Royce Singapore Pte Ltd; Sutowo Wong, Director, Analytics & Information Management Division, Data Analytics Group, Ministry of Health; Dragana Beara, Portfolio Messaging Director, Asia Pacific and Japan, Dell Technologies; Prof Nadia Magnenat Thalmann, Director (IMI), NTU, Singapore and Founder & Director, Miralab of University of Geneva, Switzerland and Guido Jouret, Chief Digital Officer of ABB among other top speakers.

In her keynote speech, Dragana Beara quoted, "Most of the AI development right now is done to create collaborative AI to augment us and give us an ability to leverage our humanity. Everything tedious, difficult or that we are not good at, like computing or getting insights from huge data sets is something we are going to outsource to the AI system."

The show also featured a workshop session from Warren Ledingham from Kryon who took the audience through a technical deep-dive session on ‘How to Save 80% of Your Automation Implementation Time’, and an almost human-like Robot interaction between Professor Nadia Magnenat Thalmann and her female humanoid social robot Nadine, that can remember past conversations.

The global pitch competition for startups in the future-tech space, Startup Grand Slam, was the highlight of the show. Opu Labs, Inc, a digital solutions provider for skin health analysis won the Startup Grand Slam pitch competition and Trsts as runner-up.

World AI Show - Singapore 2019 was sponsored by Lead Partner, Dell Technologies Platinum Partner, Kanerika; Workshop Partner, Kryon; Gold Partner, Darktrace, Silver Partner, DDN Storage; Badge Partner, QualityKiosk Technologies, Premier Bronze Partner, ADVANCE.AI
