iPhone 7 sports a 4.7-inch screen, which is similar to its predecessor, iPhone 6. It seems, Apple finally realised that anything bigger and the phone wouldn't be able to fit into its user's palms. Good thinking, Apple!

Feel-

The new iPhone comes with a HD Retina display which is 25% brighter than the last iPhone model. According to Apple, the new iPhone 7 uses the same color space as the digital cinema industry, so what the users will see will be noticeably more brilliant and vibrant. The new Retina HD display also deeply integrates 3D Touch throughout iOS. The pressure-sensitive 3D Touch layer will buzz slightly whenever the user presses and holds the screen. This means, iPhone 7 users will be able to interact with Messages, Calendar, Mail, and other apps in a more responsive and powerful way.

Water-resistant-

Finally, Apple realised that a phone as expensive as the iPhone requires to be water-resistant. Of course, Apple is very late to the party but as they say "better late than never."

The latest iPhone 7 comes in two sizes. The 4.7 inch iPhone 7 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus. Both the models will be available in Apple's signature signature silver, gold, and rose gold finishes. In addition to these three finishes, Apple has also introduced two more options, a beautiful black with a matte finish and a deep, high-gloss jet black. Unfortunately, the new jet black will only be available in 128GB and 256GB models.

New & Improved camera-

Apple has retained its 12-megapixel camera in the new iPhone 7. But, in order to give its users a little extra, the tech giant has added a larger aperture and optical image stabilisation that helps keep the images steadier. The iPhone 7 Plus users do get an extra something when it comes to the rear camera. They get a second camera, a 56mm telephoto lens on the phone's back that functions as a built-in zoom feature.

Upping the 5 megapixels front-facing camera on the iPhone 6S to 7-megapixel in the new iPhone 7, Apple has also added auto-image stabilization to the front camera.

Doing away with its 16 GB models, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus comes in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities.

Stereo speakers-

Static home button-

Now, this one is a biggie. Apple has decided to make the home bottom on its iPhone static, meaning one would no longer be able to physically press or click it anymore. The home button is an advanced solid-state button which has been designed to be durable, responsive, and pressure sensitive. Working along with its Taptic Engine, it gives you precise tactile feedback as you press. The amazing part, it can even be customised.

No headphone jack-

Apple has decided to dump the headphone jack, and has introduced new EarPod headphones that connect through the Lightning connector port. But, if one still wants to listen using their old headphones, they can do it by plugging them in using a 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter, that is also included in the box. In addition to the EarPods, Apple has also launched AirPods headsets that will connect wirelessly through auto-pairing.

Apple Unveils The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Apple just unveiled the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus — officially, at the September keynote address at San Francisco.

The big announcements are that the new iPhone have black and jet black finishes (no other colors so far), Two Cameras - Wide-angle and telephoto camera, water proof, stereo speakers, 3D touch and 2x Faster than iPhone 6.

The phones will come in silver, gold and rose gold, along with new colors "jet black" and regular "black" that replace the old space gray.

Here are the most important things you need to know:

  • Size and feel: The iPhone 7 feels pretty much the same as the iPhone 6S, with the same 4.7-inch screen. Apple says the "HD Retina display" is 25 percent brighter than last year's model. It includes the pressure-sensitive 3D Touch layer that buzzes slightly when you press and hold the screen.

  • The home button is gone. Instead, the iPhone 7 will have a haptic-feedback-equipped touch sensor. Thanks to the removal of the button, the phone is now water and dust resistant.

  • New front-facing camera: The iPhone 7's 7-megapixel front-facing camera leaps up from 5 megapixels on the iPhone 6S, and includes auto-image stabilization (but not optical image stabilization).

  • No headphone jack: It's gone. Really. Instead, Apple's new EarPods headphones will connect through the Lightning connector port; you'll also get an adaptor in the box. Apple's also pushing new, funky-looking AirPods headset connects wirelessly through auto-pairing. These worked pretty well, actually, and sounded pretty good in a the loud demo room.

  • New camera: The iPhone 7 keeps the 12-megapixel camera, but adds a larger aperture and -- this is a big deal -- optical image stabilization that keeps images steadier. We do notice that the camera sticks out more from the back.

  • Stereo speakers: A second speaker, 2× louder than iPhone 6s, joins the iPhone to give you stereo speakers. There's now one at the bottom and one at the top (this is first time for Apple).

Apple iPhone 7- What to expect?

If you're an Apple enthusiast, we're sure you have been eagerly waiting for what does the magnificent tech giant holds for you in its upcoming edition of the iPhone. Well, here's some information on that front.

Expected to hit the markets somewhere around September or October this year, the iPhone 7 will come power packed with additional features and utilities that will set it majorly apart from all its predecessors till date.

Here's a quick rundown of what all will attract you to upgrade your iPhone 6/6S to iPhone 7.

Specifications

While the iPhone 7 in all probability is going to be decked up with all the latest Apple processors, it is also expected to come with some added functionality that users of the previous iPhone versions have never experienced before. According to the leaked images and renders, the phone will come with a smart connector on the rear of the device. The images also clearly show three dots lined up in the lower bottom of the rear end of the device which were absent from the iPhone 6 and 6S versions.

Further, the latest version might see Apple going for an integrated Touch-ID sensor within the display of the device as opposed to the standalone button that features in the iPhone 6S version. Apple is also in all likelihood going to stay away from standard 3.5mm jack and double-up the lightning connector for the user's headphones for audio playback.

The recent rumors are also hinting towards the 16GB variant of the variant finally being dumped, and a new 256GB variant hitting the spotlight. This means, the world might get to see iPhone 7 in 64GB/128GB/256GB variants.

Design

There isn't major changes expected in this design department. The leaked images suggest that the iPhone 7 will debut with almost the same design as its predecessor iPhone 6S. But, here's one designer rumor that might interest a lot of iPhone loyalists. According to a recent rumor, Apple is planning to replace the Space Gray color with a dark blue model.

Doesn't a dark blue iPhone version sound awesome? Well, we're sure you can't wait for the iPhone 7 launch now.
