Indie Game Utsav and Comic Con India Reveal the Biggest Steam Sale of Indian Games Ever

Indie Game Utsav, India’s only PC and console-focussed game developer event, and Comic Con India have partnered for the Comic Con X Indie Game Utsav Steam Sale. Over 110 made-in-India and Indian-origin PC games will be available at deep discounts up to 80 percent. The Comic Con X Indie Game Utsav Steam Sale is from April 10, 11pm IST to April 20, 11pm IST. And, in a first for Indian-made games, this sale will be featured on the global frontpage of Steam from April 18 to 20.

The Comic Con X Indie Game Utsav Steam Sale will also coincide with the on-ground debut of Indie Game Utsav at Mumbai Comic Con 2025. The inaugural edition of Indie Game Utsav will showcase over 40 high-quality PC and console indie games to audiences at Maruti Suzuki Arena presents Mumbai Comic Con powered by Crunchyroll from April 12 to 13, 2025 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.

Indie Game Utsav is supported by Intel, Xbox, Xsolla, Specter, and Nodwin Gaming. IGDA India (International Game Developers Association) is Indie Game Utsav’s Community Partner.

“This Steam Sale is our way of giving Indian games a wider audience”, says Avichal Singh, Co-Founder and Game Director of Nodding Heads Games and Project Director of Indie Game Utsav. “I’m grateful for Nodwin’s and Valve’s support to surface Indian games to the world.”

Highlights of the Comic Con X Indie Game Utsav Steam Sale include the solo-developed Bao Bao’s Cozy Laundromat, viral episodic series Fears to Fathom, cerebral card collection game Kurukshetra, critically-acclaimed action game Raji: An Ancient Epic, cosy adventure The Palace on the Hill and horror hit Kamla to name a few.

Along with this, several up and coming made-in-India Steam games will be front-and-centre for international audiences to wishlist from a wide variety of genres ranging from strategy to adventure. These include Abashed, Appa, Cosmic Race Galactic Showdown, Detective Dotson, Fishbowl, Frontier Paladin, Mukti, Sojourn Past, Spook-A-Boo, and many more.

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference to Kick Off June 10 With Keynote Address


The annual online conference takes place June 10-14 and promises an incredible week of technology and innovation

This Tuesday, Apple unveiled the lineup for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, including Keynote and Platforms State of the Union, and shared more information about what developers will learn and experience all week. The free online conference brings the global Apple developer community together to provide them with insights into the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks coming to iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. Throughout the week, developers will be able to hear from Apple engineers, designers, and other experts through more than 100 technical sessions, in-depth consultations, and live forums for guidance on building even more innovative and platform-differentiating apps and games across all Apple products.

Apple Keynote

June 10, 10 a.m. PDT
WWDC24 kicks off with a first look at groundbreaking updates coming to Apple platforms later this year. The Keynote address will be available to stream on apple.com/in, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel. On-demand playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream.

Platforms State of the Union

June 10, 1 p.m. PDT
Following the Keynote, the Platforms State of the Union will take a deeper dive into the latest advances across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS, and new tools that will further empower Apple developers. The Platforms State of the Union will be available to stream on the Apple Developer app and the Apple Developer website. A playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream on the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel.

Access to Experts

Apple Developer Program members and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members can connect directly with Apple experts through online labs and in-depth consultations for guidance on implementing the latest technologies, following best practices, and elevating their apps and games. Apple engineers and designers will also be available via live Apple Developer Forums to offer technical assistance.

Session Videos and Guides

With over 100 technical sessions released throughout the week, WWDC24 will offer developers a chance to hear from Apple engineers, designers, and other experts for a deeper dive into the latest technologies and frameworks. Sessions will be available on the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel. This year, developers can also access curated guides to walk them through the conference’s biggest announcements, from new documentation to sessions and more.

Swift Student Challenge

Apple is proud to support developers through the Swift Student Challenge, one of many Apple programs that seeks to uplift the next generation of technologists, creators, and entrepreneurs. This year, 50 Distinguished Winners have been recognised for outstanding submissions and will visit Apple Park for a three-day experience with special activities throughout the week of WWDC.

Apple Design Awards

The Apple Design Awards celebrate excellence in app and game design and highlight the craft, creativity, and technical expertise that developers bring to their work. Meet this year’s finalists, who were unveiled today via the Apple Developer website and the Apple Developer app. This year’s winners will be announced soon.

The Apple Developer app is a great way to experience WWDC24 on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. The Developer app is where developers can find all the latest news, video sessions, announcements, and activities. Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is set to return from June 10 through 14, 2024. It will be an online event with a special in-person experience at Apple Park on the opening day. The conference will showcase the latest advancements in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and the newly introduced visionOS. Developers and students can look forward to engaging with Apple experts, accessing new tools, frameworks, and features, and connecting with the global developer community.

Free for all developers, WWDC24 will spotlight the latest iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS advancements. As part of Apple’s ongoing commitment to helping developers elevate their apps and games, the event will also provide them with unique access to Apple experts, as well as insight into new tools, frameworks, and features.

We’re so excited to connect with developers from around the world for an extraordinary week of technology and community at WWDC24,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. “WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them make something even more wonderful.

AngelHack Winners Announced for the 15th Annual Master the Mainframe Student Developer Competition

Over 25,000 students registered to compete for $150 cash gift cards, exclusive T-shirts, digital badges, entrance to the new Master the Mainframe (MTM) Talent Lounge community, travel stipends for IBM conferences, and $1,000 in educational scholarships.

The competition was presented in three parts, with various recognition and prizes awarded at the completion of each. Total registrations were up 40% from last year, and the number of participants completing all three parts went up a whopping 123%, thanks in part to increased outreach efforts, as well as the launch of new MTM student communities that provided support along the way. Perhaps most importantly to the contest's mission of promoting a positive sentiment of mainframes to Gen Z, 85% of participants responding said they liked mainframes more after competing in the contest following an internal AngelHack survey.

Master the Mainframe announced the winners of the annual student developer competition, powered by AngelHack and sponsored by IBM. Master the Mainframe just completed its fifteenth year of promoting mainframe skills and resources to students aged 13+ around the globe. With unprecedented participation and creativity, the entries this year set a new standard for the popular competition.
