Co-Working Space Wired Hub Launches Accelerator Program for Tier II Cities, Starting with Jodhpur

With the recent surge of the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the country, even in Tier II and III cities with Chandigarh, Jaipur, Pune etc. becoming the new startup hubs, Wired Hub taken the initiative of helping startups and entrepreneurs in these cities to create substantial business models and scalable startup ideas by short accelerator programs.

Wired Hub's Co-Working Space in Jaipur has proved to be a catalyst in the fast growing startup ecosystem of the city in last six months and is now recognized as a bridge between startups and mentors.

In an attempt to fuel the growth of startup culture, they have initiated a 2-weeks program for Jodhpur and have introduced a rigorous, highly curated "Startup Accelerator Program" starting September 4, 2016.

"Since Jodhpur has a lot of young enthusiastic entrepreneurs and a great business spirit, some great ideas came out after the recently organized Jodhpur Startup Meet-up done by Wired Hub. We now wish to connect these idea / early stage startups to mentors and networks across the country, provide the right exposure, and help them in building a business through daily workshops, intensive training sessions around brand building, market validation, financial, legal support, technical support and then raising funds", Himanshi Goyal, CEO of Wired Hub said.

Wired Hub has tied up with Rajasthan Angel Innovators Network and TiE Rajasthan to provide expert guidance and funding support for the startups participating in the program. The program is supported by one of the most prominent startups that came out of Jodhpur, Qriyo (funded by Idein Ventures).

The program will end with a Demo Day to be hosted by IIT Jodhpur and will accelerate around 10 startups from the city of Jodhpur. This surely is a great initiative by a Co-Working space to develop the spirit of entrepreneurship in upcoming Tier II cities.

Rajasthan Based Co-Working Space, Wired Hub, Bags Seed Funding from Angel Investors

Following the recent funding round of $1 million raised by Bangalore based BHIVE, the co-working space domain seems to be flourishing with the exponential increase in the number of startups in India. In a very positive scenario, Tier II city such as Jaipur now sees a 4 month old Co-Working Space, Wired Hub, raising undisclosed amount of funding in a seed round lead by angel investors Ankit Maheshwari, a Jaipur based Chartered Accountant and Anand Singh, a seasoned Angel Investor and mentor for startups.

Both of them would be playing an advisory role for the Business Development and expansion of Wired Hub as well, while Ankit Maheshwari will be joining the board.

Wired Hub publicly opened on February 1, 2016 and since then has organized regular workshops, mentorship sessions and pitching contests in presence of Rajasthan's top investors. Wired Hub, which currently has over 10 members and is spread in an area of over 1000 sq. ft., has also introduced a unique concept of Co-Working Club where members can avail the facilities and attend the networking events, without taking a desk space. The membership suiting a Tier-II city, starts at a minimum of INR 2500/-

"The funds would be used towards further expansion of Wired Hub to increase the number of desk spaces and will now cover 2 floors and an area of over 2200 sq. ft. We want to provide best experience to budding startups and ensure that they have a smoother startup journey with fewer hurdles. We work closely with all our startups to help them and provide them with a direction. Also, we are planning expansion into more cities in near future," quoted Himanshi Goyal, Co-Founder and CEO of Wired Hub.

Pawas Jain & Deepanshu Khandelwal, Founders of The Tech Portal are also the part of the founding team of Wired Hub, and had made an early investment along with Himanshi on the venture. Pawas recently made an acquisition in his personal capacity in Startify, to aide the online presence and growth of Wired Hub itself.

In a city like Jaipur, where the market is still at a very nascent stage, funding and expansion plans of Wired Hub, seem to be an interesting step towards a better future.
