Uprise India Initiative Foundation Conducts Business Ecosystem Workshop at CoWrks

Uprise India Initiative Foundation, which is the inimitable Women Entrepreneur Initiative, organized Business Ecosystem women entrepreneur workshop at CoWrks, Powai Mumbai. The renowned mentors addressed aspiring entrepreneurs through their robust knowledge and skills about aspects of novel business opportunities.

Mr. Brijesh Singh, Inspector General of Police, Cyber, Government of India as our Chief Guest, Mr. P K Kaundinya, Economist and Strategic Investor enlightened the participants concerning the tools for cyber security and legal obstacles while establishing new business. Mr. Akash Shukla, Founder of Uprise India Initiative Foundation, Mr. Vikram Shankar, Co-Founder, Uprise India Initiative Foundation and Mr. Adarsh Agnihotri, Head of Advisory, Uprise India Initiative Foundation has also thrown some light on the on-going initiative, which is providing a unique platform and inspiring many women entrepreneurs from PAN India.

Earlier this year, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has launched ‘Women Startup Programme’ with an aim to train 12000 aspiring women entrepreneurs through its five-week “Do Your Venture” Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).

Additionally, WE Hub, a startup incubator exclusively for women, announced by Telangana’s IT minister KT Rama Rao in December, was officially launched on international Women’s Day on March 8.

In February, US Embassy had launched the Nexus Startup Hub at the American Center in Delhi, with emphasis on women entrepreneurship.

Last December, Rajasthan state government had also launched startup incubator for women in the state in addition to special fund announced for women-led startups.

Notably, Govt of India’s policy think tank NITI Aayog had too announced the launch of dedicated cell for women entrepreneurs in India.

Moreover, in last October Dr. Harshvardhan, Union Minister of Science and Technology inaugurated a first of its kind Women Bio-tech Incubator in Chennai.
