Pitney Bowes Appoints Ana Maria Chadwick as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Pitney Bowes (NYSE: PBI), a global technology company that provides commerce solutions in the areas of ecommerce, shipping, mailing and financial services, today announced that Ana Maria Chadwick has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective January 29, 2021.

Ms. Chadwick joins Pitney Bowes from GE Capital where she held several executive positions. Her responsibilities included both operational and financial positions, along with strong transformational and financial services experience. Most recently, Ms. Chadwick was President and CEO of GE Capital Global Legacy Solutions. Previously, she was Controller of GE Capital Americas and Chief Financial Officer at GE Capital Energy Financial Services. Ms. Chadwick also has substantial global experience.

 

Ms. Chadwick will report to Pitney Bowes President and CEO Marc Lautenbach and will be responsible for the financial operations of the company. Joseph Catapano who has been serving as interim CFO will return to his position as Chief Accounting Officer.

Pitney Bowes Accelerator Program Inducts Six Startups in India, Also Announces Scale-Up Program for Emerging StartUps

Pitney Bowes, a global technology company that provides innovative products and solutions to power commerce, has named six startups to the summer session of the Pitney Bowes Accelerator Program.

The company also announced a new six-month program called “Scale-Up” designed to give young and emerging startups an opportunity to expand using Pitney Bowes cloud services and APIs.

The global Pitney Bowes Innovation team leads the programs. They recently trained 1,100 engineers and software developers in technology areas such as mobile, SaaS, AI, analytics and IoT. The new Pitney Bowes brand is at the center of the company’s Design System which integrates Design Thinking, Globalization and Talent Acquisition. In April 2016, the Company launched the Pitney Bowes Commerce Cloud, a commerce enabler providing access for clients and developers to Pitney Bowes solutions, analytics and application programming interfaces (API’s) across the full commerce continuum.

The Pitney Bowes Accelerator Program provides mentorship, access to venture funds and networking to innovative startups in the areas of customer information management, mobile, data analytics, location-based services, ecommerce management and machine learning.

The Accelerator startups will have access to select Pitney Bowes software and APIs for six months. In addition, Pitney Bowes will provide mentorship with leading engineering and innovation experts for technical and business guidance. The startups will be placed in Pune or Noida for incubation and will have opportunities to network with prospective investors.
The six startups named to the Accelerator Program are:

• eCourierz - an online automated shipping tool

• Infinite Analytics
- a big data and social analytics company for a 360-degree-view of the customer

• Medimojo - a digital health platform for simplifying healthcare

• Niki - an Artificial Intelligence-powered bot that simplifies the ordering experience

• Sponsifyme - a real-time geolocation-based marketing platform for offline businesses

• Wedosky - a drone-based startup with a mapping and analytics platform

“One of the greatest drivers of innovation is collaboration,” said Roger Pilc, Chief Innovation Officer of Pitney Bowes. “The Accelerator Program brings our people together with startups and emerging technology companies to develop APIs on our Commerce Cloud platform, network with peer startups and our global teams, and collaborate together on emerging technologies.”

Last year, Pitney Bowes incubated four startups as a part of the program: Ipsator, Fetchon, Kayeura, and Shipdesk, and two to an Accelerator Collaboration Program: Loginext and Primaseller.

The Pitney Bowes Accelerator Program has entered into a partnership with Microsoft. Microsoft will provide subscriptions to Microsoft’s Visual Studio and Azure Cloud Credits up to $27,000 over three years via the BizSpark program.

Pitney Bowes Accelerator Program in India Seeks Innovative Startups For Its Third Round

After completing two successful rounds, Pitney Bowes Inc. (PBI), a global technology company providing innovative products and solutions to power commerce, is inviting applications for the third round of its startup accelerator program. The program focuses on startups that leverage software for location-based services and global eCommerce.

In the last two years, Pitney Bowes has incubated ten startups in India. Participants of last year included Ipsator Analytics (Consumer Perception Management Platform), Fetchon (Audience Profiling Engine), Kayeura (Indoor Analytics to drive Traffic to Web) and Shipdesk technologies (Multicarrier Rate Shopping Platform).

For its third round, Pitney Bowes is looking for dynamic innovative entrepreneurs who are building businesses for India and global markets, primarily in the following areas –

  • Global Ecommerce (logistics, shipping management, data analytics)

  • Location-based ad-tech

  • Location-based platform (services, advertising, analytics, analytics, enterprise apps, GIS enabled systems, Indoor navigation and other spatial analysis use cases)

  • Big data, mobile analytics and machine learning

  • Data integration, data quality and master data management

  • Industry-specific solutions or applications related to all of the above


The program will be accepting applications until 20th June, 2016. Selected startups will be informed by the first week of July and invited to present before a jury. After the selection process, the startups for the program will be announced in August 2016.

As part of the program, the shortlisted entrepreneurs/startups will have a choice to be located in the PB offices either in Pune or in Noida for incubation and mentorship. Startups in the program will have access to Pitney Bowes’ software, application programming interfaces (APIs) and data for the duration of the program. Training, technical and business guidance and mentoring will be provided to the start-ups from Pitney Bowes engineering and innovation leaders, and from software industry experts.
