For the 1st Time in India, Tech Cluster Like Mysuru Attracting Deep Tech VLSI Offshore Design Centre


The synergy will initiate a Global Entrepreneurship Centre to harbour more than 100 start-ups for innovation and enterprise establishment

Focus on innovative technologies in the areas of Rural Livelihoods, Healthcare and Education, Energy, Waste Management and Sanitation among others

The Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) in its endeavour to augment India’s start-up ecosystem and collaborative innovation, today entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering-Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park (SJCE-STEP) in Mysuru. This MoU highlights KDEM’s prowess in intensifying its drive to build a robust start-up ecosystem while spotlighting skill development, employment generation, and overall development across Karnataka.

Signed today in Mysuru, this MoU will help KDEM and SJCE-STEP to create a symbiosis of investment support, mentorship, start-up incubation, and rural entrepreneurship. KDEM will function as a knowledge bridge between the Government of Karnataka and the industry and will facilitate the setting up of a Global Entrepreneurship Centre in order to accommodate more than 100 start-ups. Together, KDEM and SJCE-STEP will provide unsurpassed facilities for enterprise establishment and innovation.

 
Speaking on this important development, Shri B V Naidu, Chairman, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission said, “The Karnataka Digital Economy Mission has been unwavering in its commitment to harness the limitless potential of the state’s digital economy in order to transform the lives of the people. This MoU with SJCE-STEP is a stride in this direction and with their expertise, it will surely give us leverage in reinforcing talent building, stimulating entrepreneurship and innovation throughout Karnataka."

Dr. E.V. Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary- Department of Electronics, IT-BT & S&T graced the event virtually and said, ”I congratulate KDEM and SJCE-STEP for creating this platform for all of us to connect and boost an innovation ecosystem in the city of Mysuru. Global players like Infosys, Wipro, IBM, L&T, etc have played a vital role in nurturing the talent and providing global exposure to the local ecosystem. We now look forward to PROXLEERA furthering the ecosystem of Mysuru and Karnataka and supporting the initiatives of the Government of Karnataka to keep reaching global heights. With the VLSI design expertise and IT projects in the Digital and Analog domain, Mysuru will learn a lot from the companies. PROXLEERA will also benefit from the rapidly increasing skilled workforce. Karnataka has always been at the forefront in promoting the idea of innovation and a tech-focused ecosystem and we can further accelerate this by supporting the smaller cities and thereby facilitating their transformation into an economic powerhouse."

Established in 1985, the SJCE Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park (STEP) has evolved and groomed entrepreneurs while promoting more than 300+ enterprises. Over the years, SJEC-STEP has successfully collaborated with R&D centres, industries, and institutions to leverage skill and knowledge for the rising student community.

About Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM)

With an objective to increase the share of the Digital economy in the state, the Government of Karnataka set up the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), a Section-8 organization, which acts as a knowledge bridge between the industry and the government. This Indian Non-Metro Startup Has Got 25 patents in Just 18 Months for Its Innovations

A Mysuru-based startup named Allinnov Research and Development Pvt. Ltd. has achieved a admirable feet of filling a whopping 25 patents in a span of just 18 months, with many more currently on their way.

The startup, which recently bagged the ‘National Intellectual Property Award-2017’ instituted by Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM), is being deemed as first of its kind firm in India which is fully into offering patent filing, product research and development, and patent landscape analysis. Some of the previous years winners of the award includes prestigious names like Samsung and TCS, IIT-Mumbai and IIT-Kanpur.

The startup has earned a significant number of patents for its innovative, out-of-the-box products like stored water purification device, toothbrush along with toothpaste, self-charging phones, and many more.

Out of the 25 patents, 20 patents are in the names of people associated with Allinnov, while the rest carry the names of the people with whom the firm partnered with for assistance in patenting and product development.

Allinnov's 25 patents are in the names of 300 people. With more than 200 certified innovators onboard from various institutions and industries across the world, Allinnov is making a mark for itself in the world of patent.

According to Allinnov's website, it is the only company in the country which is currently giving its own patented products to entrepreneurs to manufacture and market by setting up their own industries. The startup creates the focus and brings the base of thinking in the language of technology and creativity through innovation to every learner of the country.

Gowthami S, Allinnov’s founder-cum-administrator started the firm when she and her friend Ramakrishna B, invented a helmet lock and set out to patent it. It is during this process, that she realised there is a lack of knowledge about patents and there are relatively very few patents in the name of Indians.

All of Allinnov’s 25 patented products are required by humans on a day-to-day basis. In fact, the helmet lock that Gowthami S and Ramakrishna B invented has been sold to Mahindra and Mahindra and is all set to be adopted in the Mahindra Centuro motorcycles.

Allinnov has offices in Tamil Nadu and Telangana too where it has employees who not only innovate themselves but also lends others' help to do the same. The firm conducts workshops in colleges to identify students as well as teachers who have distinct perspectives and harbour innovative ideas.

The startup also collaborates with teams of individuals and helps develop their ideas into patentable inventions by offering them technical and legal support.

According to the startup, their mission is to develop as many innovative products as possible that can help the masses and make this planet a better place to live.

Allinnov's aim is to eradicate the poor knowledge about patents in the country and its associated procedures, and stresses on the need to create awareness about its benefits.
