Singulr AI Raises $10 Mn in Seed Funding Led by Nexus Venture Partners and Dell Technologies Capital

Singulr AI Raises $10 Mn in Seed Funding Led by Nexus Venture Partners and Dell Technologies Capital

Singulr AI announced $10 million in seed financing led by Nexus Venture Partners and Dell Technologies Capital, with participation from leading industry executives. It launched today with the general availability of its enterprise AI governance and security platform, already deployed across companies in the technology, finance, and healthcare sectors.

The enterprise AI surge is real in live customer environments, Singulr consistently discovers 500+ unique AI services and models in use, with many of them redundant. Over three out of four employees use unapproved “Shadow AI” tools, often linked to personal accounts that expose enterprise IP. This dynamic threat will force organizations to balance rapid AI deployment against security risks and rising costs. Further, the rise of agentic AI increases complexity, making enterprise-grade governance essential for scaling AI operations.

Using the Singulr AI platform, CIO and IT operations teams can rationalize their AI service inventory and reduce unnecessary spend, while CISO and risk teams can streamline the onboarding of safe AI use cases while implementing granular policies to prevent data leakage and shadow AI.

Founders Shiv Agarwal and Abhijit Sharma, who previously built Arkin Net (acquired by VMware), reunited the team to build Singulr. In just one year, they have gone from a concept to a generally available solution that integrates seamlessly into enterprise environments without requiring infrastructure changes. Singulr is launching with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance, ensuring enterprise-grade security and trust.

Shiv Agarwal, CEO and Co-founder of Singulr, said,
Companies are experiencing explosive growth in AI adoption across employees, partners, and vendors – but this surge comes with mounting security risks and costs.Through our extensive market research, we recognized that the broad use of generative AI technology is a complex problem needing an enterprise-grade solution to scale and secure. We started Singulr – to help enterprises rapidly adopt and operationalize powerful new AI technologies while managing costs and minimizing risk.

Jishnu Bhattacharjee, Managing Director at Nexus Venture Partners, added, “AI is transforming business with a new technology stack, evolving usage patterns, and unprecedented risks—forcing companies to rethink how they do security and governance. The Singulr team has a proven track record of solving complex, enterprise-scale problems and is launching a proven solution that enables businesses to efficiently and safely harness AI’s potential. I’m excited to partner with Shiv and the team again as they establish Singulr as the category leader.”

This is the year the enterprise moves from experimenting with AI to leveraging its potential for pivotal business challenges. However, this adoption brings complex operational and security challenges requiring a systems approach—from developer experience to endpoint defense. The Singulr team has a proven track record of taking on enterprise challenges at Arkin and VMware and are well-equipped to do so again.” said Raman Khanna, Managing Director at Dell Technologies Capital.

Singulr helps customers get ahead and stay ahead of AI adoption with:
  • Continuous discovery of all AI-in-use, including homegrown LLM applications and agents, public AI services, and embedded AI in SaaS applications, along with deep contextual insights into application settings, user activity, and sensitive data exposure in prompts or uploaded files.
  • Rapid AI onboarding with automated risk scoring of AI services and models so that teams can quickly vet and approve new requests, unsanctioned use, or changes in models, dataset, or applications.
  • Continuous AI-powered protection using context-aware policies and enforcement that allows organizations to permit, restrict, warn, redact, and trigger security tickets and workflows.
Companies interested in safe and cost-effective AI use can request a sample Instant AI Audit report or an AI Audit assessment here or at https://singulr.ai/sample-report

About Singulr AI

Singulr AI is an enterprise AI governance and security platform that helps streamline and secure enterprise AI use at scale. Security, IT, and AI teams can now accelerate AI-driven innovation while reducing business risks and unnecessary costs from data leakage, shadow AI, and AI sprawl.

Dell Technologies is better positioned than ever before to win, and our partners know they can count on us to help them navigate an ever-changing world.”

Professionals can use their precious time on the work that matters most with the Latitude 9510, the most intelligent 15-inch business PC featuring built-in AI1

Dell today introduced the Latitude 9000 series, designed with the finest details in mind to be smaller and thinner than ever before, with a larger display and a superior experience. The new Latitude 9510 delivers what business users seek: the longest battery life of any 15-inch business PC with a target of up to 30 hours 2, 5G-ready design3, powerful audio features and intelligent solutions that increase productivity.

The Latitude 9510 is the world’s smallest and lightest commercial 15-inch PC4, easily fitting into a small work bag. The large screen size, along with Intel® Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) and 5G mobile broadband capabilities6, allow executives to be more productive wherever they need. The design incorporates 5G antennas into the speakers to retain the InfinityEdge display, while carbon blade fans and dual heat pipes offer a quiet and cool-to-the-touch experience. When critically low on battery, the Latitude 9510 will subtly adjust settings to preserve resources, like dimming the screen. It will also choose the best charging policy, like ExpressCharge Boost, which provides up to a 35% charge in 20 minutes8 to get running in a crunch.

  • Log in simply and securely with ExpressSign-in: This senses a user’s presence, enabling faster log-in and enhanced security with Dell’s PC proximity sensor enabled by Intel® Context Sensing Technology and Windows Hello.

  • Ditch the speakerphone with Intelligent Audio: The top-firing speakers, powerful amp and four noise-cancelling microphones provide life-like immersive collaboration, while Intelligent Audio allows users to hear and be heard better on conference calls, helping eliminate echoes and background noise, wherever they are.

Latitudes, like all Dell trusted devices, are the industry's most secure commercial PCs9, so companies can be confident their endpoints are secure both below and above the operating system.

With Dell Technologies Unified Workspace, new Latitude owners are productive on day-one. This approach for end-user computing gives workers a frustration-free, ready-to-work experience while empowering IT with automated, open and intelligent management solutions that helps them easily deploy, secure, manage and support all devices within their organization.

Elegantly crafted with machined aluminum, carbon fiber, woven glass fiber and hardened Corning® Gorilla® Glass, the XPS 13 has a flawless finish in a durable, lightweight design.

For users that want maximum screen space, Dell is delivering its latest engineering feat — narrow bezels on every side, reducing the XPS 13’s InfinityEdge borders and creating a smaller and thinner form factor than all other XPS predecessors. With a larger 16:10 display that spans from all four edges, the new 25% brighter XPS InfinityEdge10 display offers more screen space to multitask throughout the day and catch all the details of the latest binge-worthy show. New Initiative by Dell Technologies, UNESCO MGIEP to Enable School Teachers with Technology

New partnership focused on disseminating quality education training that promotes learning and building 21st century skills among children. The association addresses the teaching community as its primary audience.

Dell Technologies today announced a new partnership at TECH 2019 between its Dell in India operation and UNESCO MGIEP to enable school teachers to adopt technology in classrooms. Through this partnership, ‘Dell Aarambh’ a PC for education program by Dell and UNESCO MGIEP’s ‘FramerSpace’ platform, will collaborate to train identified teachers. This partnership is a resultant of meeting the common objective of equipping teachers with the requisite knowledge to implement technology in classrooms.

Quality education is the foundation of sustainable development and is a force multiplier which enables self-reliance, boosts economic growth by enhancing skills and creating better livelihoods. In India, Dell is addressing the challenge of quality education and digital literacy through Dell Aarambh – a program instituted to help schools, teachers and parents understand PC technology and its use in education. Digital literacy will play a key role in catalyzing the growth of India's digital economy and bridge the digital divide.

This partnership enables the global community in achieving the UN Sustainable Goal 4.7 towards education for building peaceful and sustainable societies and UNESCO MGIEP in its mission of building social and emotional learning, innovative digital pedagogies and empowering youth.

Dell Aarambh intends to provide a springboard for teachers in ICT and to help them kickstart their digital learning journeys; and UNESCO MGIEP FramerSpace helps teachers with rich content creation abilities coupled with analytical insight to elevate the education quality. Given the commonality of purpose of both the organizations and synergy in their offerings to teachers, the proposed engagement between Dell Technologies and UNESCO MGIEP will be spread across three phases. In the first year of engagement, teachers across Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka will be trained.

FramerSpace is an AI-powered digital platform that helps teachers conceive, implement and monitor personalized learning plans for their students. The training will focus on teaching them the use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and frontier technologies to stay relevant and invest in the sole purpose of achieving Quality Education, as outlined under Sustainable Developmental Goal 4 (SDG 4) by Member States of United Nations. Since its inception in 2016, Dell Aarambh has provided ICT training to more than 85,000 teachers across 4,530 schools in nearly 80 cities in India.

The engagement will be spread across three stages:

Phase 1: Teachers who have completed Dell Aarambh foundation certification and are ready to create customized content for their learning audience would be trained further to use FramerSpace to create content. They can then become ambassadors of this learning methodology in their respective schools and regions.

Phase 2: A 200-hour training on FramerSpace divided into face-to-face familiarization training followed by completion of online training material, will be offered to 45-50 Dell Aarambh shortlisted teachers. At the end of this familiarization training, teachers will be awarded joint certification from UNESCO MGIEP and Dell Aarambh.

Phase 3: On achieving its goal of impacting 4,000 teachers over a period of 12 months, UNESCO MGIEP and Dell Aarambh will endeavor to create a joint impact assessment to explore the short and medium-term difference to learning outcomes.

Commenting on the partnership, P Krishnakumar, Senior Vice President, Consumer and Small Business, APJ, Dell Technologies, said, “In an increasingly digitized India, emerging technologies will play a pivotal role in what the future of work will look like. Teachers will be at the forefront of this revolution as they educate tomorrow’s digital workforce, today. We see our partnership with UNESCO MGIEP as an elevation of our intent and support to building capability among teachers who are educating the future workforce. With this positive step, we look forward to addressing a unified goal of achieving quality education in India.”

According to Anantha Duraiappah, Director, UNESCO MGIEP said, “Digital media is the reality of today and tomorrow, hence there is an urgent need to build our capacities in order to provide a meaningful and relevant education to the younger generation. We need to forge partnerships and collaborate with all stakeholders to achieve our vision of transforming education for humanity by bringing in digital pedagogies, trained teachers and quality content into the classroom.”

Through 2019, along with UNESCO MGIEP, Dell has organized ‘PolicyHack’, a forum for teachers, schools and education experts, to present real-life solutions for the advancement of the education system in India. At TECH 2019, findings of the 4 series PolicyHack were presented, and some highlights include:

  • Lack of access to technology-enabled interventions holds teachers from gaining mastery over newer pedagogical tools

  • Teachers are as keen as students to invest in on-going learning, but means to invest in similar programs are limited

  • Even with little resources, there is a concerted effort on being innovative and relevant – peer learning sessions with guided efforts could be low cost-high return proposition.

The UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace (MGIEP) and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) is UNESCO’s category 1 Research Institute that focuses on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4.7 towards education for building peaceful and sustainable societies across the world. In line with its vision of ‘Transforming Education for Humanity’, the institute’s programmes are designed to mainstream Social and Emotional Learning in education systems, innovate digital pedagogies and to put youth as global citizens at the centre of the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development.

How 50 Cities Scored on Supporting Women Entrepreneurs from 2017 to 2019

At the 10th annual Dell Women Entrepreneur Network Summit, Dell Technologies announced findings of the 2019 Women Entrepreneur Cities (WE Cities) Index, ranking 50 global cities on their ability to foster growth for women entrepreneurs. Building on annual research since 2010, Dell Technologies ranks cities based on the impact of local policies, programs and characteristics in addition to national laws and customs to help improve support for women entrepreneurs and the overall economy.

Building on 10 years of research on women entrepreneurs, Dell Technologies partnered with IHS Markit to research and rank 50 cities on five important characteristics, including access to: Capital, Technology, Talent, Culture and Markets. These pillars were organized into two groups — operating environment and enabling environment. The overall rating is based on 71 indicators; 45 of which have a gender-based component. Individual indicators were weighted based on four criteria: relevance, quality of underlying data, uniqueness in the index and gender component.

All 50 cities made progress since 2017, however some cities made bigger strides than others and the race to the top inevitably left some cities behind. Highlights include:

  • The San Francisco Bay Area out ranked New York for the No. 1 spot this year, largely in part because the Bay Area is one of the best places for women to gain access to capital. It also moved from 6th place to 2nd place in Culture, illustrating that the number of role models and public dialogue around eliminating the ‘bro culture’ is making an impact.

  • Out of a total of 100 possible points, the No. 1 ranked San Francisco Bay Area scored only 63.7. That’s evidence that there is still much work to do to level the field for women – and validates the need for this kind of research and outreach to policymakers to move the needle for female founders.

  • Lack of funding, high-cost of living, and the lack government led policies that support women entrepreneurs were among the barriers, globally.

  • Thirty out of 50 cities improved on more than half of their indicators, with Latin America and Europe seeing the highest percentage of their cities move up.

  • The most-improved cities represent nearly every region, which indicates how broad-based the improvements have been around the world.

  • Mexico City had the greatest improvement ranking No. 45 in 2017, moving up to No. 29 this year. In particular, the city increased women in education, at top business schools and in its legislature, and also increased corporate vendor procurement programs and access to capital for women entrepreneurs via crowdfunding campaigns.

"When we invest in women, we invest in the future; communities prosper, economies thrive and the next generation leads with purpose,” said Karen Quintos, EVP and chief customer officer at Dell Technologies. “By arming city leaders and policymakers with actionable, data-driven research on the landscape for women entrepreneurs, we can collectively accelerate the success of women-owned businesses by removing financial, cultural and political barriers."

Advocating for Women Entrepreneurs

The 2017 to 2019 WE Cities Index results highlight the successes and challenges that each city faces, and where cities can learn best practices from one another. These key learnings, if supported by local governments, can add up to big changes for women-owned businesses, globally.

Based on the findings and comparison between the 2017-2019 indices, Dell Technologies has developed a set of WE Cities Policy Recommendations focused on three areas, including:

  • Access to and the development of financial and human capital.

  • Private and public sectors role in increasing access to local and global networks and markets.

  • How government and business leaders can help women entrepreneurs thrive in the changing-face of technology.

“When more women work, economies grow. Technology is helping to drive this progress as a gender-neutral enabler, and helps create a level playing field,” said Amit Midha, president of Asia Pacific & Japan, Global Digital Cities at Dell Technologies. “Whilst all cities in the Index have improved, the crucial factor is the consistency of this improvement across the different factors that impact women entrepreneurs’ success. The WE Cities Index helps Dell Technologies get closer to our customers and understand the landscape in each city so we are better able to help women entrepreneurs scale their businesses.”

“Our mission is to empower women across the globe by removing barriers to entrepreneurship, accelerating positive change that allows them to thrive. Building on 10 years of research on women entrepreneurs, Dell Technologies is committed to help power the success of entrepreneurs by developing technology solutions that enable human potential. Through the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network (DWEN), Dell Technologies supports and nurtures a community of female entrepreneurs by providing access to technology, networks and capital”, says Sheenam Ohrie, VP Dell Digital and APJ CIO Leader, Dell Technologies. “While all the 50 cities have made progress since 2017, Bangalore and Delhi from India have made the most improvement in the Capital and Culture barriers in the list of top 50 WE (Women Entrepreneurs) cities.

“The 2019 Dell WE Cities report is unique from other bodies of research in that it not only ranks 50 global cities on their ability to foster women entrepreneurs, it shows how the cities have improved from their 2017 benchmark,” said Karen Campbell, Consulting Associate Director, IHS Markit. “This year we can see some patterns emerging. Ranked cities have collectively made the most improvement in the Capital and Culture pillars, which shows the importance of measuring not just the operating environment but also enabling environment for women entrepreneurs. This data-driven approach shows where women entrepreneurs still face barriers in scaling their business.”

WE Cities

Dell Technologies partnered with IHS Markit — a leading source of insight and analytics that shape today’s business landscape — to launch this first-of-its-kind, global research that will measure a city’s ability to attract and support high-potential women entrepreneurs.

Research for WE Cities began during the 2016 DWEN Research Symposium chaired by Dr. David Ricketts from the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard. The research symposium brought together 40 global thought leaders, women entrepreneurs, academics and media to develop insights for the model. Key takeaways from the conversations at the Symposium included:

  • Access to capital is still the No. 1 challenge that women entrepreneurs face, although the numbers are showing a slight improvement

  • Creating robust ecosystems with incubators, accelerators and mentors makes a world of difference for entrepreneurs — it’s all about the network

  • Cultural norms and their policy implications put serious binds on female entrepreneurs

  • Talent, both in terms of the entrepreneurs’ own talent, including education and experience, and having access to a skilled staff also resonated as highly important

The successful pilot of the 2016 Index led to the scaling for the 2017 Index to include 50 cities and the re-measuring and ranking for 2019.

The objective of establishing Community Tinkering Hubs is to promote and strengthen the joy of informal, experiential learning through technology and bridge the digital divide among communities.
