Is Your Valentine Actually Royalty? 4 Apps That Reveal Your Partner's Secret Title (Warning: You Might Be Dating Your 10th Cousin!)

Is your Valentine’s Day date a simple meeting of hearts, or a merger of two ancient dynasties? While we treat the 14th of February as a modern holiday, the secrets of your romantic future may actually be hidden in your ancestral past. In an era where data meets destiny, a new wave of genealogical technology is allowing couples to look beyond the surface and uncover hidden royal lineages, warrior clan connections, and even accidental 'genetic overlaps.' From tracing 1.6 billion historical records to analyzing cosmic compatibility through digital Kundlis, this is how you can use the power of lineage tech to find out if your Valentine's date is truly your 'chosen one' or a 'secret heir'.

iMeUsWe: A dual-purpose platform for tracing lineage and analyzing relationship compatibility. Users can explore over 1.6 billion historical records to build family trees and uncover ancestral connections. Beyond genealogy, the app’s astrology module provides Kundli and Marriage Reports, offering insights into partner traits, financial alignment, and marital compatibility. Users can also access a free compatibility test for a modern, data-driven look at their romantic connections.

Kulvriksh: This is one of the most popular India-specific apps for deep lineage research. It allows users to build family trees that specifically track traditional markers like Gotra, Kuldevi, and native villages. It features a "Community Tree" that helps you discover long-lost relatives by matching your family data against its growing database of Indian families.

AstroSage: For those focused on the "compatibility" side of your project, AstroSage is a leading choice. It offers comprehensive Kundli Matching (Guna Milan) and AI-driven horoscopes. Its "AstroSage Cloud" feature allows you to store birth charts for your entire family lineage, making it a digital repository for ancestral astrological data.

Kintree: Positioned as a "social media for families, Kintree is available in 12 Indian languages. It focuses on private family collaboration, allowing multi-generational members to contribute photos and stories to a shared tree. It is particularly useful for modern Indian families who are spread across different cities or countries but want to maintain a single "family room".

Now Use Native Apps in a Tesla

Non-cloud software that resides locally on computers, such as ERP systems (SAGE, SAP), can be made cloud-ready via oneclick™ and can also be used in a Tesla. In our case, the application “Sage 200“, which is hosted in the computer centre of the reseller Qmulus Solutions, was tested, however other applications such as SAP or Tableau can also be used.

oneclick™ enables any software, from the web app from the cloud to the native app as a local desktop application, to run securely on all browser-enabled devices. Native apps and business applications run through an HTML-5-enabled web browser while the application itself and its associated data remain in their original location.

Access is provided independently of location and time via the browser - consequently also in the Tesla. Using the large touch screen in the centre console and the installed web browser, the end user can log onto the oneclick™ platform and access all stored applications.

End users can access their existing on-premises landscapes (native apps) 100% web-based via the oneclick™ platform, which makes mobile working possible via any end device, at any time and at any place, without companies having to replace their old software.

The implemented 2-factor authentication (e.g. Google Authenticator or other integrated services) provides additional security for the existing software and infrastructure. Even when accessing via a mobile device the data always remains securely stored in the company.

oneclick™ runs in the browser and is therefore independent of any operating system. oneclick™ is ideally designed for mobile use, as it has an attractive design to work optimally with smartphones and tablets.

A unique, self-developed streaming technology is used that no longer transfers data to the device. Only images of the connection destination are transmitted as encrypted video. Applications are no longer installed locally but run directly in the data centre. The device requires significantly less computing power, which also allows the problem-free use of older models. Even with low bandwidths, oneclick™ works stable (from 128 kbit/s, e.g. 3G, LTE or WLAN) and users will not feel any difference to working on-site.

Applications can be run from any location, including the existing network, private cloud hosting or in the vehicle. oneclick™ takes care of all the authentication required to access the software and presents all applications to the user in an easy-to-use interface.

Further information can be found here: https://oneclick-cloud.com/en/blog/products/using-native-apps-in-a-tesla/

oneclick AG with headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, and an innovation motor in Prien am Chiemsee, Germany, is specialised in the development and operation of a cloud platform for the automated and secure deployment of digital workspaces. The goal of oneclick AG is to play a major role in shaping and improving end user computing. oneclick AG has been founded in 2015 and has 25 employees.

W. Bengal To Launch Series of Voice-Activated Apps for Unorganized Sector like Rickshaw, Toto and Phuchka Sellers

In a recently held Digital Success Summit 2018 in Kolkata, West Bengal, the state IT secretary Debasish Sen disclosed that the state government is working on an app-based technology, which will have voice-activated and artificial intelligence (AI) related commands, for unorganised sectors including rickshaw pullers, Puchka sellers, or Toto (a new concept of e-rickshaw in the state).

Debasish Sen however also said that these app-based services can be availed only in case a person has a smartphone. "if you need the service of a toto, a rickshaw or a phuchka seller at your doorstep, you cannot contact them like in case of the app cabs or the food delivery apps," he said.

"We are trying to find out means by which voice-activated artificial intelligence (AI)-related commands and devices will enable the rickshaw puller, a toto driver or the phuchka seller understand your command language," said Sen in the event touted as eastern India's first & foremost holistic Digital Summit.

Late last month, the state IT & Electronics department minister Bratya Basu had too announced that West Bengal will get a series of apps for a range of utility services like hiring a toto, linking Aadhaar with bank account and paying property tax.

Notably, the state's capital Kolkata is one of the fastest growing markets for delivery apps like Swiggy, Zomato and UberEats, who are betting big on the city’s robust appetite for ordering in. According to a survey conducted by Zomato in 2016, with an average order size of Rs 690, Kolkata topped the list for biggest online food orders. New Delhi came second with Rs 640.

Moreover, a large portion of startups in Kolkata raising funds are too from food sector.

An IITian Quit His Job To Launch India's First Social Networking App for Neighbourhood

neargroup

In this socially connected world, while we manage to remain in contact with our aunt living in London through Skype and Facebook etc., we fail to even know the names of the people living next door. Well, this major flaw in the communication structure prompted Prashant Pitti, an alumnus of IIT-Madras to come up with a social networking application for neighbourhood called the NearGroup.

Within a few days of its launch, the app has been successful in connecting 500 localities in Delhi, 300 in Gurgaon, 270 in Ghaziabad and 250 in Noida.

Claiming to be India's first neighbourhood social networking app, it is currently available on Android and iOS and works strictly within a neighbourhood, allowing only genuine residents of a particular area to register via Facebook.

The app is extremely dependable and easy to use as only verified users are allowed to be part of a group of a locality. Recently, using the app, a group of like-minded individuals in east Delhi got together to teach and help the needy children.

The NearGroup app makes available a real-time group chat facility. Their future plans include introducing a panic button that can alert other members of the group in case of any emergency so that help can reach the individual immediately.

According to the founder Prashant Pitti, NearGroup is backed by a survey conducted in India which indicated that 72% of the Indian population face neighbourhood-related issues almost every month. This is when Prashant decided to quit his high profile job with HSBC in Chicago and launch a start-up in India. Pitti is now planning to extend the app to other cities too.

NearGroup isn't just like any other social networking app, it also strives to assist the users in solving problems like women safety, child bullying in their colony, make local friends, carpool with nearby people, meet similar professionals, and even borrow items of daily use like hammer or ladder among others. In order to do all this, they will have to become a part of a neighbourhood community just by downloading the app and registering themselves by selecting their location.

Users can choose their interests from carpool, parenting, sports, yoga, running, gym, dance, painting, cooking, exam preparations, travelling, start-ups, work profile, etc. and depending on their selection, they're allocated a group. After becoming a part of the group, the users can discuss, meet and communicate with other members of the group.

IBM working to deploy sensors and biometrics based apps in India

ibm biometrics apps india

IBM, the tech giant is working on developing apps based on sensors and biometrics for India. The company’s enterprise division is working on it with corporates.  This means, gone are the days when you would get to know about the discounts or sales being offered at your nearby shops or malls after the sale ended. These apps would send you messages to keep you updated about the discounts being offered in the nearby shops or malls.

The US tech giant is also working on the idea of withdrawing money from an ATM without a card. IBM along with DLF, which is an Indian real estate major, will position the app for malls at the latter’s posh property in South Delhi. The ATM app would be deployed once the IBM’s analytics in India are made.

IBM is also working on some biometric projects with Indian customers in the financial services sector.

The Indian market is considered very vibrant from the mobile standpoint. Two years ago, IBM had also unveiled its ‘mobile first’ technology after it detected the fact that corporates whether small or big would need to have mobile apps for their business if they wanted to remain on the profit path.

Only 1 in 10,000 paid apps would be considered financially successful by their developers through 2018. This data was revealed during a study done by research firm Gartner on mobile apps.

Globally, over 50% of the companies that the tech giant spoke with don’t have a mobile strategy in action even today.  In India, the picture is almost the same. Of the people who invested in a mobile project, 73 percent saw a decent return on investments. More than 50 percent of the people who were surveyed got a 10 percent or more productivity increase.

According to Phil Buckellew, vice-president, enterprise mobile, IBM Software Group, the banking, financial and insurance sectors are in need of mobile applications which integrate with their back-end system instead of apps that just provide information.

Security is considered as a major problem in adoption of mobile apps. India has not been able to make the bring-your-owndevice concept a big success in the country due to the security issue.

Nowadays numerous mobile applications are being launched with every passing hour. The apps backed by great marketing and company are able to find their foot in the market easily but the other smaller ones end up losing themselves in the sea. Quixey is here to solve this problem. It is a search engine which lets you find apps according to your needs.

Quixey is capable of running mobile searches and show results straight from the apps. It even shows the results from the apps that are not even installed in your Smartphone. The company believes that it’s this feature of deep searches will make it an instant hit with the Smartphone users.

Let us assume that you search for Chinese restaurants on Quixey, it will not only show up with a list of Chinese restaurants but also make full use of all restaurants search apps to show information like table or reservation availability and even the food and ambience ratings of the restaurants. Quixey makes it users available with real time information and not just links.

According to Liron Shapira, who is one of the co-founders of the California-based company, nowadays the way people interact with the third party apps is broken. At Quixey, the vision is to put a search bar on every device as according to them a search bar will allow the user to make better use of third party apps.  Quixey has an aim of lowering the borders and making apps comfortable to use for the general public.

Quixey functions the same way as Google but it only involves apps results. Like a search engines helps the user to find the most relevant content within websites, in a very similar way Quixey helps the user find most relevant content within apps.

Quixey is starting by constructing a fully automated system that can access the data inside an app when you run a search query. It is based on the same lines of how robots.txt shows webpages in today’s web search.  Developers need to adjust the code in their apps if they want to make their apps searchable on the search engine. Quixey can’t have an access to the data of the app unless the developer of the app grants it.
