Netflix has donated £1 million to the National Film and Television School (NFTS) to establish a new creativity hub at its Beaconsfield campus. The space, called The Netflix Lounge at NFTS, will serve as a central hub for collaboration, creativity, and exchange among students, alumni, and visiting filmmakers.
This initiative is part of Netflix’s broader Generation N commitment, which focuses on supporting UK skills and talent by working with film schools, charities, and industry organizations to open doors, build skills, and help creative careers grow. The hub is also tied to NFTS’s wider campus expansion project, which will increase student capacity by 25%, giving more people access to world-class film and television training.
Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos emphasized the company’s long-standing relationship with the UK creative community, noting that Netflix has been deeply invested in nurturing the next generation of storytellers for over 12 years.
Founded in 1971, NFTS has consistently ranked among the world’s top film schools, including recognition in The Hollywood Reporter’s list of top international film schools.
