These pellets, which undergo nuclear fission to generate energy, are encased in zirconium alloy tubes , ensuring containment of radioactive byproducts.A 220 MW PHWR fuel bundle contains 15.2 kg of uranium dioxide , meticulously fabricated to withstand extreme conditions within nuclear reactors.

NFC’s expertise extends beyond fuel production, supplying zircaloy-clad uranium oxide fuel assemblies and reactor core components to all 14 operating atomic power reactors in India.
Expanding India's Nuclear Capabilities

The Road Ahead
