Wipro Limited has announced the appointment of Srini Pallia as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, effective immediately. Srini is an alumnus of Bengaluru’s Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and has also participated in executive programs at Harvard Business School and the McGill Executive Institute.
He takes over from Thierry Delaporte, who led a significant transformation at Wipro over the past four years and is stepping down to pursue other interests.
Srini Pallia has been with Wipro for over three decades and has recently served as the CEO for Americas, Wipro's largest and fastest-growing strategic market. His extensive experience and strong track record in leadership roles within the company make him an ideal choice for this position.
Srini Pallia joined Wipro in 1992 and throughout his tenure at Wipro, he has held various leadership positions, including President of Wipro’s Consumer Business Unit and Global head of Business Application Services. Srini Pallia is known for his client-centric approach, growth mindset, and strong execution focus, which align with Wipro's values and vision.
In 2008, Srini was named one of India's top 25 young business executives by Business Today. Srini will be based in New Jersey and report to Chairman Rishad Premji.
