Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) will organise the fifth edition of the digital entertainment conference ‘Pixels’ on 14 December 2021. The event will discuss regulatory support for the growth of the industry and issues pertaining to the sector such as content privacy.

The nascent digital entertainment industry is poised for aggressive growth with access to better networks, digital connectivity, and smartphones. India's OTT market is expected to touch $12.5 billion by 2030 from about $1.5 billion in 2021. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Digital Entertainment - Reaching a New Peak’.

The virtual conference will also deliberate upon the business and technology side of the digital entertainment sector with respect to OTT platforms, production houses and content distributors. The summit will address the challenges in creating and monetising quality video content and explore how to encourage creativity and diversity in a responsible way.

Battling with content piracy; Reinventing traditional media in the digital-first world; The future of OTT advertising in India; Encouraging creativity with responsibility; The rise of PPV in the Indian OTT market, are some of the topics of discussions.

The key speakers at the summit are Hiren Gada, CEO, Shemaroo; Ali Hussein, CEO, Eros Now; Siddhartha Roy, COO, Hungama. The summit will also see legal speakers: Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri, Former Supreme Court Judge; Gopal Jain, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India; Vivek Sood, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India. From the entertainment industry, actor Manav Gohil and Suhasini Maniratnam, Actress, Director, Producer & Writer, Tamil Film Industry will speak at the event.

Over 700 delegates will participate in the event. It will witness three tracks, with over 20 sessions and 70 speakers.
