PUNE, India, Oct. 13, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading electric bus operator in the country, EveyTrans Private Limited, a MEIL group company, has launched the inter-city bus service under the brand name, 'PuriBus', from Pune to Mumbai and vice versa on Wednesday. This inter-city service has been initiated for the first time in India. Operations will begin on 15th October the auspicious Vijayadashimi (Dussehra) occassion. With the launch of the inter-city service by EveyTrans, long distance, zero-emission, noiseless, and comfortable travel has become a reality.
The Indian government and state governments are encouraging the adoption of electric buses in the public transport system under FAME I and FAME 2 policy initiatives.

The 12-meter long PuriBus
The zero-emission, electric inter-city coach bus has a seating capacity of 45+Driver+Co-driver. The bus is aesthetically designed and offers utmost comfort to passengers. The AC E-bus designed for long-distance travel has comfortable and luxurious push back seats.
The bus has the latest TV and Infotainment system along with Wi-Fi ensuring a journey full of entertainment. Each seat has an in-built USB charger. The five cubic meter luggage space guarantees ample space for luggage.
This electric bus offers a significant financial benefit to the inter-city bus operators due to its low maintenance and low running cost compared to a diesel bus. Olectra Greentech Limited in India manufactures these buses. The buses are powered by Li-ion Phosphate batteries.
The bus has various safety features, including EU standard FDSS System with TUV certification, ADAS System (Advanced Driver Assistance System), and ITS System as per the Indian Regulatory requirement. In a crisis, there is a Panic Alarm System and Emergency Lighting System. EveyTrans is operating E-buses successfully within multiple cities like Surat, Silvassa, Goa, Hyderabad, Dehradun, etc. With the addition of the PuriBus to the company's portfolio, EveyTrans has once again proven its strong operational capabilities.
