I was lucky to benefit from the business-friendly ethos of Bangalore when I set off on my entrepreneurial journey with Biocon in the late 1970s. In the decades since then, Bangalore has received global recognition as a start-up hub and become the preferred location for entrepreneurs looking to make a success of their ventures. TiE Bangalore has played a significant role in this transformational journey, inspiring entrepreneurs and fostering entrepreneurship excellence through mentoring, networking and education, funding and incubation. It has enabled the next generation of entrepreneurs through its untiring efforts. In a post-COVID world, Indian entrepreneurs will have enormous opportunities to conceptualise and build new businesses. I believe Bangalore will be at the heart of global efforts to rebuild a post-pandemic world through the power of entrepreneurship.”
