Business Wire India
While pandemic slowed down the pace of the world, it couldn't deter Cimpress India from its hiring spree. Cimpress India, a global capability centre for Cimpress N.V, recruited 854 new team members in FY21 across teams for application development, data engineering, product management, and graphic designing. The onboarding was done in a complete remote setup. The organization aims to grow at the same pace in FY22 as well. It has already started FY22 by recruiting 112 professionals laterally across technology and graphic designing. It has also onboarded 99 campus hires from 20 engineering colleges including IIITs, PESIT, BIT, VIT, JSS, RNSIT, NIEM, TCET, KJ Somaiya and many others for the profiles of Full stack developers and Front-end developers.

The hiring has been triggered by the transformational journey Cimpress businesses are undergoing as an organization. Cimpress and its businesses want to bring innovation in the mass customization space through tech and design expertise. Some of the Cimpress global businesses include Vistaprint, National Pen, WIRmachenDruck (Wmd), Printdeal, Pixart Printing, and ExaPrint.

Vistaprint is on its transformational journey from being a printing company to becoming an expert design and marketing partner for small businesses. It is also vying to transform itself as one of the world’s most iconic Data & Analytics-driven companies and our tech talent across locations including India is going to be elementary to its success. National Pen, another Cimpress business headquartered in California, US, has been contributing to the growing demand for tech talent across the world, including India. The tech talent is going to be an important component of their digital transformation journey which they aim for over the next three years. They aim to transform themselves from a value-based brand to a customer-centric, service-oriented brand. These are just two examples amid other exciting developments happening around.

Mr. Satish Pai, Vice President, Artwork Technology, Cimpress and Head of Operations, Cimpress India, said, "At Cimpress, our aim is no less than to revolutionize the mass customization industry, and therefore we expect to continue growing rapidly. A large part of this growth comes from India where we have had the great fortune to find incredibly talented and skilled individuals in a wide range of roles, and so India is a strategically important location for us. Over the last one year, we have ramped up our hiring efforts across levels with special focus on campus to build our talent pipeline and some senior roles to lead key technology teams in India. We certainly expect this trend to continue, and are looking forward eagerly to a much bigger presence in India."

Mr. Ameya Sane, HR Director, Cimpress India said, "We are on a mission to build Cimpress to be one of the best, inclusive and preferred workplaces in India. Our progressive culture, globally distributed teams, people policies, programs, and benefits have been the catalyst for talent attraction and retention. We continue on this journey to make our employee value proposition holistic and stronger. The Pandemic adversities facilitated us to move faster on our strategy of ‘Remote-First’ way of working. This new strategy has not only helped our colleagues to leverage utmost flexibility but also enabled us to hire anywhere in India with an access to a much larger talent pool. In a very short span, we already have colleagues across 18 different states outside of Maharashtra and Karnataka. The journey in the times to come is going to be very exciting.”
