Bengaluru based sports nutrition startup Daaki today said it has raised an undisclosed amount in angel funding from investor Rohan Agila, Business Partner and Capvent Advisors, reported India Today.

The funds raised will mainly be used in research and product development in order to give athlete nutrition beyond existing standards, the company said in a statement.

The startup will close the next round of funding soon, and plans to expand its marketing operations pan India as well as overseas.

Founded in 2013 by Amit Dabas, Daaki is a youth oriented brand that characterizes itself as being a game changer in the sports nutrition industry. They aim to manifest themselves as a brand that connects with real athletes and fitness enthusiasts. DAAKI is a haryanvj word derived from the word 'DAAK' which means 'Jump'. In the literal sense Daaki stands for a 'Quick Jump'.

"Our very first task was to create a unique identity that would resonate with the consumers and at the same time get our supplementation ideas on the table," Daaki founder Amit Dabas said.
