Niti Aayog has decided to set up a dedicated women's cell to assist and support women entrepreneurs with viable and bankable projects by facilitating and catalyzing funding through Mudra Bank, Fund of Funds and financial institutions, according to a TOI report.

The women's cell will launch in next week, said the report quoting Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant .

Moreover, the cell will be managed by all-women-team and spearheaded by Anna Roy who is also a woman herself and also NITI Aayog advisor.

"The cell will ensure that women entrepreneurs do not face any issues raising funding and that their products are supported in whatever way they can be," said Kant.

Additionally, Niti Aayog is also mulling creating a platform where investors and entrepreneurs from India and abroad can meet annually.

All this announcement was a result of global entrepreneurship summit 2016 held at Hyderabad where US president's daughter Ivanka Trump was head of summit along with PM Modi. In the event Ivanka pressurized the need of more women entrepreneurship in India.
