After successful completion of a critical 12-weeks program, the graduation ceremony of the entrepreneurs graduating from the Milestone Makers India program by San Francisco-based nonprofit Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center was celebrated on 30th July, Sunday 2017 at CoworkIn. The graduation ceremony witnessed the presence of mentors, coaches, and the network of people involved throughout the journey of 12-weeks with special recognition to the cohort members graduating from the program. This includes founders, investors, VCs and representatives from the Embassy of the United States. The Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center , in partnership with Startup India, had launched their Milestone Makers India program in New Delhi earlier in May this year.

After a competitive process, 15 entrepreneurs were on-boarded out of the 108 applications received from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, industries, company sizes, and stages of funding and development. These selected 15 entrepreneurs were on-boarded to become a part of the summer 2017 cohort where each founder was paired with a diverse set of mentors and coaches from India and the US with a prime vision of helping them set a critical business goal and accelerate their path to achieving it in a period of 12-weeks. You can know more about the program here.

“While entrepreneurship is on a rise, sustainability of new enterprises is a growing concern which was one of the key focus areas of the program. Milestone Makers India program successfully managed to make entrepreneurs achieve their set milestones over the course of 12 weeks,” said Yatin K Thakur, Founder, Startup India Advisory Services.

“During the past year, the Center has supported more than 3,000 entrepreneurs in 200 programs, and we’ve learned that in order for entrepreneurs to succeed they need a personalized learning path and network of support to overcome challenges and achieve their business goals”, said Nicola Corzine, Executive Director of the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center.

The Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center invests in individual entrepreneurs across the globe taking big risks to solve problems in new ways. Having launched the Milestone Makers program last year in San Francisco, they are helping early-to-mid-stage founders set, hit, and celebrate milestones critical to company growth.

The cohort also spent 3 immersive days in New Delhi at the start of the program, understanding and setting their milestones, and since then have participated in well-curated workshops and sessions to reflect on their fundamentals as founders and interact with our global business network of coaches and mentors through various face to face meetings and virtual interactions. We are proud to support these 15 entrepreneurs and help them exhibit their startups through an International Roadshow later this year.

The Milestone Makers Program is absolutely free of cost and the core foundation of the program is a network of support and pay it forward philosophy. These Milestone Makers will now return to coach, share and further nominate the next set of inspiring leaders to become part of the next cohort. The MMI Program cohort and Startup India Advisory Services has been able to achieve all this because of the support received from our prestigious network and all our affiliate partners including CoworkIn, GEN-India, Amazon, The Sikh Chamber of Commerce etc.
