Global software giant Microsoft recently unveiled three new tools that would help small businesses and startups grow. Launched on the sidelines of Microsoft’s Inspire event currently underway in Washington, D.C., the main idea behind launching the three tools is to make Microsoft users more involved in its Office 365 ecosystem. In order to make it available to as many people as possible, the company has decided to make the tools available free of cost through Microsoft’s Office 365 First Release program.

The three new tools: Microsoft Connections, Microsoft Listings and Microsoft Invoicing will be a great addition to the company's existing rack of tools like the Outlook Customer Manager and Microsoft Bookings.

The Microsoft Connections tool will allow its users to create email marketing campaigns similar to the popular Mailchimp. To be made available on the web, iOS and Android, the tool, in addition to offering all the usual features of any regular email marketing campaign tool, also offers its users the ability to monitor their campaign performance, manage subscribers, and create campaigns. According to Microsoft, it will be offering its users a bucket full of pre-designed templates and make it easier for people to join their mailing list or even unsubscribe from it.

Microsoft decided to come up with an email marketing tool of its own as it noticed that email marketing can be a bit overwhelming for beginners. Small businesses or startups, which are already making use of Office 365 as their productivity suite of choice can consider the email tool as a great addition for their work.

Since social media is a big but essential world with numerous platforms to keep up with, Microsoft Listings allows its users to keep a tab of their business' listings on online platforms like Google, Bing, Yelp, Facebook and monitor online reviews and views.

Coming to the last new tool launched, Microsoft Invoicing as the names suggests is an invoicing tool that allows users to easily create invoices and estimates. The thing that makes it stand out from the rest of such tools available in the market is the fact that it comes integrated with PayPal which makes it easier for small businesses to accept credit card payments. It also comes with a QuickBooks connector that lets users connect the accounting software they use with the new Microsoft Invoicing tool.

In addition to the three new tools, Microsoft also announced the launch of the Office 365 Business center, a central place where you can manage these business apps and get an end-to-end view of your business and added MileIQ, the leading mileage tracking app, as an Office 365 Business Premium subscription benefit.
