The fifth edition of the Start TLV Competition has finally come to an end with the announcement of the winner. Hyderabad-based Nemo Care, the winner of the competition along with the five women-led startups will represent India at Start Tel Aviv workshop in Israel this year.
At the Start TLV ‘boost camp’, Pratyusha Pareddy, co-founder, Nemo Care will join local Israeli entrepreneurs and participate in lectures, workshops, and meetings with leading Israeli and international investors and professionals.
Start TLV is a global annual event organised by Israeli MFA and Tel Aviv Municipality. The competition is the platform to support women entrepreneurs in the country to accelerate their startup growth. In order to search India’s upcoming women-led tech startups with a social impact, the Embassy of Israel had joined hands with the Indian government’s Startup India programme, TiE-NCR, YES Bank, YES Global Institute and CNBC-TV18. The platform attracts the huge number of startups, venture capitalists, angel investors, innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs from across the globe.
The tech startup finalists from 23 different countries around the world will convene in Tel Aviv, Israel, in September 2017, to take part in an intense five-day Startup ‘boost-camp’ in collaboration with DLD Innovation Festival.
The finalists from across India pitched their startup ideas, technology and the social impact they are creating to the jury comprising of investors, mentors and industry experts. Here are the 5 finalists of Start TLV 2017:
Nemo Care: Co-founded by Pratyusha Pareddy, Nemo Care is an infant health monitoring system that tracks a baby’s vital health parameters and helps parents stay abreast of their infants’ health. They use design thinking methods to build life-saving technologies that are transforming the way healthcare is delivered.
Agatsa: The Noida-based company is co-founded by Neha Rastogi. It is a cardiac care platform that features a pocket-sized cardiac device and an app, SanketLife, a pocket ECG card - a disruptive, possibly smallest and most intelligent ECG monitor device. The device allows users to track ECG accurately so that they have a healthy heart.Innovision: Owned and operated under BrailleMe, Innovision is founded by IITian Surabhi Srivastava. Innovision is a product that provides the visually impaired access to the digital world through the internet. The device allows users to write in Braille, and converts it into digital text and vice versa.

Artelus: Artelus is the Arificial Learning Systems which is aimed at supplementing human expertise with machines using artificial intelligence. The platform enables healthcare professionals to service an ever increasing patient load with accurate diagnosis and preventative care.Inclov: Founded by Kalyani Khonain in 2014, Inclov was formerly known as Wanted Umbrella which wa matchmaking agency for people with disabilities. In 2015, the platform launched a 100 percent accessible and inclusive app for the differently abled community and even for those without disabilities.

Earlier this month, Google India recently hosted a Developers’ Launchpad Build event in Bengaluru where they shortlisted and provided guidance to 11 women-led startups. In January 2017, it was reported that the central government is considering to launch an exclusive scheme for Indian women entrepreneurs. These kinds of encouragement help women to dream big and aspire to become what they desire.
