JP Morgan Asset Management invests $30M in Singapore-Based Assetz Property

JP Morgan Asset Management has invested about Rs 200 crore ($30 million) in Assetz Property Group,a Singapore-headquartered firm that develops residential and commercial properties in southern India. “The money will be used to build an 18.5 acre residential project in north Bangalore. The capital will be given in the form of equity by JP Morgan,” said Akshay Dewani, director, Assetz Property Group. “We will be raising capital for logistics vertical first and plan to have a 10 million sq ft portfolio over the next four years,” he added.

Shared Mobility Solutions Platform Revv Raises $9M in Series A Equity and Debt

In yet another major milestone achieved, Revv, the Delhi-NCR based shared mobility solutions platform has announced USD 9 Mn of funds raised, across equity and debt. Series A equity funding was led by Edelweiss Private Equity, and debt funding from financing partners such as Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services and car leasing partner LeasePlan India.

The start-up already counts the likes of Gautam Kumra (recently elected India MD of McKinsey & Company), Rajat Dhawan (Mentor to McKinsey’s automotive practice) and Ananth Narayanan (CEO of Myntra), as its angel investors.

Digital Lending Platform ZestMoney Raises $6.5M from PayU, Others

Chalk Farm Ventures Pvt. Ltd, which runs consumer lending startup ZestMoney, has raised $6.5 million (Rs 44 crore) in a Series A round of funding led by Naspers-owned online payments firm PayU. Existing investors Ribbit Capital and Omidyar Network also participated in the round.

StalkBuyLove Raises Funding from Kalaari, Others

Fashion e-tailer StalkBuyLove has raised around Rs 41 crore ($6 million) in its Series A funding round led by Kalaari Capital, as it looks to expand its business in a market that is increasingly getting crowded.
Germany’s VCDE Venture Partners and investment firm TTM Holding AG also invested in this round, the company disclosed in its filings with the Registrar of Companies.

urDoorstep Raises $1.4M in Bridge Round

On-demand delivery portal UrDoorStep has raised about $1.4 million (INR 10 Cr) in a bridge round. The round saw an undisclosed HNI investing about $733K (INR 5 Cr) and an equal amount coming in as debt from Lakshmi Vilas Bank. The company had raised $300,000 (Rs 2 crore) in a bridge round of funding from CP Murali, former chief operating officer of US-based telecom software firm Aricent Inc. in July this year.

AI Startup Niki.ai Raises Additional Funding from Unilazer

Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence startup niki.ai has raised Rs 3 crore in a new round of funding led by Haresh Chawla, a partner at India Value Fund Advisors (IVFA). Existing investor Ronnie Screwvala’s Unilazer Ventures also participated in this round, the startup disclosed in its ROC filings.

WealthApp Raises $445k in Seed Funding

Investment advisory platform WealthApp has raised Rs 3 crore ($445,000) from a clutch of investors including Venk Krishnan, managing partner at NuVentures, and M J Aravind, co-founder of Daksh eServices that was later acquired by IBM. Other investors including Vikram Kotak, managing partner at Crest Capital and Investment, Jayant Davar, co-chairman & MD at Sandhar Group, Ramkumar Nishtala, MD & CEO at Vistaar Finance, and Arjun Sharma, chairman of the Select Group also participated in the seed round of funding.

Content Delivery Firm WittyParrot Gets Seed Funding

WittyParrot, a cloud-based content delivery platform has raised Rs 3 crore ($450,000) in seed investment from Mumbai Angels and a few Silicon Valley-based angel investors. The startup will use the funds to expand its sales team grow its footprint in the US and India, Anil Jwalanna, co-founder and chief executive of WittyParrot said in a statement on Friday.

Venture Catalysts Invests in Automobile Servicing Platform GoMechanic

Tech-based automobile servicing solutions start-up GoMechanic has raised $250,000 in seed from Venture Catalysts. GoMechanic was founded in April this year by IIM-Ahmedabad alumni Amit Bhasin and Kushal Karwa. Later, Nitin Rana and Rishabh Karwa joined the founding team.

P2P Lending Platform Rupaiya Exchange Raises $200K Funding

Delhi-based fintech startup that facilitates peer-to-peer lending, Rupaiya Exchange, has secured $200K in its angel round of funding from HNIs and a group of professionals. The company plans to deploy the raised funds towards enhancing its technology and strengthening its team.

On-demand, self-drive bike rental platform, ONN BIKES has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from Grace Capital Ventures.

Foodtech startup MrHot Foods has raised an undisclosed amount in a Seed funding round led by IvyCap Ventures.

A mobile application that address pet parent’s’ needs, TailsLife has secured an undisclosed amount of angel funding in a round led by Mohan Kumar, Executive Director Norwest Venture Partners India and LetsVenture’s V. Balakrishnan.

Online event booking platform BookEventz.com has raised an undisclosed amount of funding in an angel round led by Mumbai Angels with Girish Mathrubootham (The Chennai Angels) and Anbu Pandian (PanZeea Solutions) and other investors on LetsVenture.

Delhi-based retailers networking platform Netree E-Services Pvt Ltd has raised undisclosed funding in Pre-Series A round led by The Chennai Angels and LetsVenture.

Fashion based social media mobile application Look At Me has raised an undisclosed amount in Seed funding round from Eros Labs.

Private equity firm Samara Capital has picked up stake in Gujarat-based stent-maker Sahajanand Medical Technologies.
