Clove Dental, a dental chain promoted by Global Dental Services, is now the largest Dental Clinic Chain in India - in terms of number of clinics, doctors, specialists and dental chairs. Clove currently has 116 clinics operational and the number will go up to 150 by the year-end. For the next phase, Clove has set an ambitious target to launch 600 clinics, and to this end plans to add 10-12 clinics every month for the next four years.

The company has so far made an investment of $25M and plans to invest another $25-30M till they reach the 600-clinic target.

Louis Shakinovsky, Chairman, Clove Dental, said, “Within a short period we have established ourselves as a brand that stands for high quality dental care. We are committed to bring international standard dental care to every Indian.”

The only player in the dental care space in the country who holds membership of the Royal Society of Medicine, UK, Clove has played a seminal role in organizing and standardizing dental care in India, since its inception in 2011. The President, Royal Society of Medicine, UK, Dr. Babulal Sethia inaugurated the first of its kind Dental Leadership Conclave organized by Clove in the city yesterday. The Leadership Conclave was an initiative to discuss the global best practices in dental care and oral health.

Through international standard clinics across India, Clove has introduced transparent, ethical, patient friendly delivery with focus on Global standards of hygiene, treatment protocols across all disciplines of dentistry starting from simple fillings to advanced maxillofacial surgery and latest in implantology.

Mr. Amarinder Singh, CEO Clove Dental, said, “The dental care market in India is witnessing a healthy growth with Indian customers demanding international standard treatment and care. For the last five years, we have been working towards redefining the oral care market in India by introducing customers to the next level of dental care. Encouraged by the response we now set ourselves an ambitious target of becoming the neighbourhood dental clinic for every Indian over the next 5 years.”

According to Ken Research, the India dental care services market will register double digit growth rate and will reach over INR 14,700 crore by FY’2020 due to growth in the number of dental chains which would expand the share of organized dental clinics in the country. Research Analyst at Ken Research suggests that the domestic players need to focus on effective marketing strategies and should provide attractive discounts to customers via loyalty points or exclusive discounts.

Clove also plans to build adjacencies around dental business including dental case review outsourcing to service Global chains. Currently they have an in-house dental lab and incubating - a b2b marketplace for dental consumables and equipment.
