Mumbai based Jigar Vora, Niraj Taksande and Bhushan Karn are die-hard fans of bikes but found that maintaining shinny and clean bikes after every drive is a tedious job. If they have taken their bikes to service centre for detailing, it take hours to get them serviced. This problem motivated them to invent India’s first and fastest automatic motorcycle washing system as they knew that this technology is a future opportunity because it will revolutionize bike detailing methods. Their gut feeling and confidence toward this concept ignited all of them to make this technique available for every biker and provoked them to launch Express Bike Works (EBW) in 2013 as a brand from Entropy Innovations Pvt. Ltd. Entropy is an engineering innovations company that aims disrupting the two wheeler service industry.

Invention of Automated Washing Machine

Invention of EBW is a result of the unavailability of efficient technology in the bike servicing & care industry. Telling more about their fully automated motorcycle wash machine, Niraj Taksande, co founder, EBW said, “We all know that bike cleaning is a pain and so we have invented India’s first fully automated motorcycle wash machine that addresses multitude of problems faced by an individual owner as well as a motorcycle service station.” The trio claims that the new invented machine is capable of washing even the dirtiest of motorcycle within 2-5 minutes, which is the fastest mode in the world. It is also capable in washing over 230 bikes within 10 hours. Apart from washing, this machine is also efficient in maintenance, checkup and on-road assistance.

Unleashing Hidden Potential

EBW aims to organize bikes servicing industry with an effective business plan. Bhushan Karn, Co-Founder, ESW explained, “We are providing services at affordable prices. Our services are quick and easily accessible to the retail customers. In addition, we also offer a few installations at service stations and a few retail touch points branded as “The EBW Store”.” There are very few organized players who offer high tech washing and value added services. According to him, “About 15 million new bikes are added every year and a number of traditional washing players offer wash related services everywhere. We will bridge this gap at an affordable price, faster service rate & with an ease of accessibility to the retail customers.”

Completely Eco-Friendly

Bike care and water conversation goes hand in hand! EBW technique is completely environment friendly due to some of its unique features. It has been designed and manufactured in house by the team and has a provisional patent. It helps in water recycling and uses eco-friendly; biodegradable chemicals all along ensuring complete satisfaction to the customers. Jigar Vora, Co-Founder, EBW said, “The machine is a true “Make in India” venture and extremely efficient in conserving water and money savings.” Moreover, the used water can be recycled for constant use until it is deemed unfit for wash care, which then can be used for gardening purpose.

The team include Niraj Taksande, an IIM Indore 2014 batch, co-founded Entropy Innovations with an aim to give the two wheeler’s service industry in India some innovation, regulation and control. He believes, “If Akio Morita, along with a handful engineers working in a war devastated building can create Sony, then nothing should stop him from creating and contributing his best towards technology & service.” He is a mechanical engineer by choice and a management graduate with keen interest in corporate strategy, his focus is to add dimension to business through smart decisions and technological breakthrough.

On the other hand, Raghuvendra Bhusan Karn, a degree holder from IIT, Mumbai intends to use his knowledge and passion for technology building to create revolution in the bike and scooter service segment. He has a strong engineering background and IT understanding. Next, Jigar Vora is IIT Mumbai product and pro in business development. He has been bringing cognitive changes in the business. His passion for bikes and the disorganized service industry in India gives him the enthusiasm to recreate this sector.
