Hyderabad’s startup Aadya Restaurants ‘Dosa Place’ announced today it had acquired Hyderabad based food Company ‘ChennaiChef’ for an undisclosed amount. Aadya Restaurants will own 91% in Sukashree Agro Foods (Chennai Chef).
Hyderabad-based ‘Chennai Chef, is into retail business and has presence across major super markets over six years. The company is mainly involved in selling Idly, Dosa, Nutri Dosa Batters, Sambhar and Rasam Powders.
"We found great synergy in ‘ChennaiChef’. This acquisition will make us spread our wings into retail business too. “Ajay Koneru, Founder & Director of Aadya Restaurants, said.
Dosa Place, which sells Dosas, Idlys, Tea, Butter Milk, Lassi & Badam Milk, believes that this acquisition will help the company to consolidate its position in the market, grow faster and take a leadership position in this segment.
Dosa Place is Aadya Restaurants First maiden venture. It provides neat, clean, scrumptious, and rich varieties of food at economical cost. It strives to be pioneers in Dosa making segment, operate, maintain, franchise and conduct the business of restaurants, catering units and food trucks to provide good food and beverages to customers.
As a One-Stop-Restaurant and Service provider the startup plans to run Multiple Mobile Trucks across PAN India. The firm has 35+ Employees that includes Master Chefs, Cooks, Servers, Managers and Quality Maintenance Staff. We started our journey with one truck and now we are 4 trucks and a Quick Service Restaurant at a Drive INN Ajay added.
Talking about the company plans ahead Ajay said “We are getting into QSR segment by the brand TIDC "The Indian Dosa Company .Our plan is to have presence in at least 5 states in next 1 year. All the cities will have Chennai Chef Factories, Dosa Place Trucks and The Indian Dosa Company (TIDC) QSR . By 2017 December we want to GO GLOBAL.”
Ajay said, the Brand Dosa Place will still remain the same for our trucks and will primarily focus on Birthday parties, Events, College Events, Weddings, Corporate Events, Kitty Parties, Gated com-munities and Catering.
