Delhi-based cab aggregating platform TaxiVaxi has raised $500K in second round of Seed funding from HNIs. With the newly raised capital, the startup will be adding more services, enhance its technology and capabilities and develop the team further. It had earlier raised angel funding in November last year.

Founded in December 2014 by Neeraj Tayal, Ankit Gupta and Vinod Kumar, TaxiVaxi allows booking of radio taxi, tour taxi, self drive cars and carpooling from multiple operators and vendors on one platform. The startups has developed a solution where users can check availability, compare fares, check ETA, book, and plan their rides.

Apart from its consumer-facing segment, TaxiVaxi also caters to the corporate segment, offering them a separate web-based solution bundled with its app.

Speaking on the second round of funding, NeerajTayal, Co-founder and CEO, TaxiVaxi.com, said, ‘We are very pleased to have secured a second round of funding in such as short span of time. We have grown exponentially since our launch and are one of the few start-ups in India to show a profitable status in this short span of time. The second round will be a structured transaction and we will be using the funds to expand into more cities, strengthening our technology base and increasing workforce. We are expanding our presence in corporate travel segment with cashless/ paperless travel for employees for multiple travel options and we are receiving really good response so far.’

Presently, the startup operates in 300 cities across the country including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, Jaipur, and Lucknow among others. It has a current user base of 15000+ and 20 corporate clients with aggressive plans to grow upto 500 cities and achieve a target user base of 1000,000, by the end of 2016. TaxiVaxi also claims to have between 125-150 cab companies including Ola and Uber on its platform and has partnered with about 15 radio taxi operators and has about 20 corporate clients, which include luxury retail brand Good Earth and global human resource firm, AON Hewitt among others.

The startup recently launched an iOS app to expand its customer base including a new feature TaxiVaxi Wallet.

It competes with other cab aggregators like Scoot, EK and TaxiPixi among others.
