priceraja, one of Indian product and price comparison and deal aggregation platforms, has announced that it is raising money from Prashant Puri, Founder and CEO of AdLift, to fund its expansion and reach its goal of becoming a top 200 website in the country. The amount of money Prashant is investing into the company is Rs. 2 crore.

In August 2014, the company raised $2 million in angel funding from undisclosed angel investors.

Prashant Puri will also add an advisory role to the business and lend his expertise in digital marketing and his learnings from heading digital marketing at (an eBay Inc. Company), one of the leading price comparison sites in the US. He recently founded Yral, a social media celebrity brand endorsement platform, that connects brands to the right audience by leveraging real influencers. Yral is a joint venture between AdLift and YouWeCan Ventures (a Yuvraj Singh’s initiative).

Commenting on the move, Vivek Pahwa, CEO Accentium Web Pvt Ltd which runs the website PriceRaja said, “We are happy that Prashant personally will add value to our business. Product and Price comparison is essentially a content and product business and innovative internet marketing is key to success, and Prashant will add tremendous value to this effort."

PriceRaja currently receives 3 million visits per month and about 12 million pageviews per month, and is looking to grow this to 10 million visits per month over this calendar year.

The company aims to be a leading product comparison platform for all comparable online products such as electronics, appliances and accessories. In addition to product comparison, price comparisons are also shown where applicable.

For non comparables such as fashion, home decor it aims to be the best aggregated source for browsing, discovering, and filtering products available online.

PriceRaja is monetized by Affiliate revenue and advertising and has no plans to venture into the online to offline model as of now, with concentrated focus on being the best product discovery and comparison platform in India.
