Gurgaon-based social fitness app FITSO, that we reviewed just a couple of days back, has announced today that it managed to raise $2,00,000 in angel round, from Varun Khurana, Ex CTO, Grofers; Samar Singla, CEO, Jugnoo and Vinay Bansal, CFO, Wildcraft. Notably, the startup has raised funds in just three months of its operations.

FITSO works as a social platform that enables people with similar interests of fitness, to connect with each other, participate in various fitness activities happening around them, compete with each other to win assured exciting prizes, hire professional coaches and much more. FITSO is for everyone, from those looking for fitness challenges to those starting their journey to a more active lifestyle. Its ability to connect fitness enthusiasts further helps Indian women to take their first step towards fitness, as they can now pair up and hit the streets without a second thought.

Speaking of its founders, FITSO was founded by three IIT-Delhi alumni, Saurabh Aggarwal, Naman Sharma and Rahool Sureka. All three had an interesting life journey before deciding to start this venture. Saurabh finished Ironman and ‘La Ultra’, the cruellest ultramarathon in the world, before deciding to find FITSO and share his learnings with others to lead a healthy and fit life.

The startup is launching its services in Mumbai on 17th January at SCMM. This means people from Mumbai would now be able to take part in FITSO challenges and do much more.
