All the early-age startups in India looking for rapid growth, access to technology, office space and an innovative community to get exposure to global markets or to even get funded this is one of the opportunity to en-cash especially for startups in and around Bangalore as Microsoft Ventures is inviting applications for the sixth batch for the 4-month Accelerator Program in India.

Starting October 10, 2014 till November 30, 2014, Microsoft will receive online applications from technology startups from all over India. Startups interested to be part of this can apply here and as a #ProTip, Startups can give a reference from one of Microsoft Venture's partners to improve their chances of getting accepted into the batch.

As per procedures, the names of shortlisted companies will be announced in a few weeks after closing applications and they will be invited for a face-to-face session with a jury panel. The final list of startups will constitute the summer batch of calendar year 2015 and will begin the four-month acceleration program at Microsoft's office in Bangalore in end January, 2015.

Microsoft Ventures' Bangalore Accelerator can comfortably seat 15 teams of three to four members each. The work environment and infrastructure is designed to promote collaboration, networking, opportunity to learn from each other, while being highly productive.

The Microsoft Ventures Accelerator in India is hosted in the heart of Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India.

Apart from the state-of-the-art workspace and access to Microsoft technology and technology mentors, each batch of startup goes through a rigorous, intense and structured 4-month program.

Microsoft and industry mentors provide them with hands-on expertise in key areas they need help on most--technology architecture, user experience/design, product road-map, business model development and connections with early adopters. Each startup pursues three tracks simultaneously – customer development, product development and deepening market traction. The Accelerator program team tracks their progress every week, and shares the report with mentors who provide them valuable feedback.

Microsoft Ventures' Bangalore Accelerator host two batches a year, from July-November and January-May.

Around 82 percent of the companies from Microsoft Venture India's first four batches received funding within a year; and three got acquired, including the recent acquisition of Bookpad by Yahoo.
