Hyderabad based diagnostics services aggregator DoctorC raised Rs 2.5 crore in convertible notes through seed-financing earlier this month. The seed-funding was led by California-based Leviathan Investments headed by Anil Dharni, Ram Gudavalli and Andrew Keidel, the founders of mobile gaming startup Funzio. Other investors include city-based Splice Advisors and Indian Angel Network member Sanjay Jesrani, founder and CEO of Go North Ventures.

DoctorC offers a website where people can look for the best deals in diagnostic tests by comparing prices and discounts offered by testing laboratories.

"With this round of funds, we want to grow an order of magnitude, faster than the current rate." Mansi Gandhi, chief operating officer and co-founder of DoctorC, said in a press-release on Wednesday.

"Indian consumers are looking for more and more healthcare-related queries online. With the diagnostics market slated to be around $10 billion by 2016, we want to be at the forefront bringing the change to healthcare. We would like to become a complete healthcare solution portal over the next few years

The startup was started operating in October of 2013 and in just one year the health-startup sells over Rs 1 crore worth of tests per year.

DoctorC was founded by Neehar Cherabuddi, Mansi Gandhi, Karan Kurani, Manya Cherabuddi and Dr.C Dayakar Reddy. Cherabuddi was previously an engineer at Siebel CRM ( Oracle Inc) while Mansi was an ex-Oracle Senior Applications Engineer.
