With an internet-enabled device in the hands of most students, there is a need for a mobile test prep platform which would give students the freedom to learn and prepare anywhere, anytime. This is when online platform like Cracku.in come to rescue students in such scenerio.
Cracku is a Hyderabad based bootstrapped startup started in July 2014 by a group of IIT-IIM alumni. It is an online test preparation platform, currently focusing on helping students prepare for MBA entrance examinations. Having gone through the grind of preparing for examinations, we felt that there is potential to improve test preparation and make it more social and mobile friendly.
Cracku currently offering two products,
- A practice platform with around 2000 excellent questions categorized by topic and difficulty level./li>
- A national Mock CAT series, with detailed analysis at a very reasonable price.
Cracku provide to it users a comprehensive question bank prepared by IIM Alumni, 1200+ questions categorized into 15 topics and 3 difficulty levels, quick-tests, personalized progress tracker and mentorship where CAT aspirants can interact directly with IIM Alumni.
Cracku currently have over 2000 registered users. The portal also conducted a couple of free Mock CATs to help students and the response was very good. Around 450 students gave the first Mock and around 700 students gave the second Mock.
The Hyderabad strtup will be launching an android app in the next two weeks and the app will be designed entirely keeping in mind a student preparing on his mobile.

Co-founders of Cracku(L-R) Maruti Konduri, Srikanth Lingamneni & Sayali Kale[/caption]Two of Cracku's co-founders, Maruti Konduri and Srikanth Lingamneni aka Lingo were batch mates in IIT Bombay Computer Science batch of 2008. They started an online sports magazine while in college and were always enthusiastic about entrepreneurship.
Cracku's third co-founder Sayali Kale was collegue with Maruti, they studied together in IIM Ahmedabad and later worked for investment banks in Hong Kong. Both, being geeks at heart, were more interested in finding better ways of learning than in building financial products. The idea of Cracku started forming in their heads around January 2014 and they returned to India in March to start their business. Lingo, who was pursuing his PGDM from IIM Calcutta, jumped on board and the team for Cracku was in place.
As of now Cracku is looking to raise funds. "We intend to upgrade our mobile product and make it a one stop shop for anyone who is preparing for CAT. We believe that the time for individual preparation is behind us and test preparation should be more social. We made a good start and have a decent number of paying customers. Our target is to be the market leader in this space in the next two years." says Maruti, Co-founder Cracku.in
