Apple iWatch

Another 'i' device will soon come into the market and this time it will be increasing the beauty of your wrists. Apple will finally reveal its iWatch to the world at a special September event. This news was reported by Recode’s John Paczkowski. John had previously also reported about how the company was going to launch the iWatch in October but now has changed its plan and preponed its launch.

iWatch will be the company's first foray into wearables and the rumours about the device’s production delays has hounded it over the last couple of months. Some reports even suggested that the device won't see the daylight until the early 2015 but now according to Recode's latest report on the iwatch, the device will most probably launch on the much anticipated September 9th event alongside the two new iPhone 6 models.

iWatch is the device's rumored name as Apple hasn't given much details about the device. The watch will make extensive use of the company’s HealthKit platform that was added to the iOS 8. It will also make use of HomeKit but to what extent is not clear as of now.

iWatch is a wrist device with these features:

  • Aluminium body

  • WiFi and Bluetooth

  • Integrated RSS Reader

  • 16GB;

  • Weather forecast system;

  • Possibility to connect to the Bluetooth or WiFi to iPhone / iPad

  • LCD projector to show everywhere pictures by your iPhone / iPad

  • Available in various colors

The wearable tech market has seen a tremendous growth in the last two years. Whether its Samsung or LG, almost every company has come up with its own wrist worn smartdevices. Even the 2014’s Consumer Electronic show held in January was dominated by these wearable devices. Apple’s iWatch is surely going to face a stiff competition whenever it’s launched in the market.

According to Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty, iWatch will cost around $299. On the other hand, Cowan and Co. analyst, Timothy Arcuri thinks that the iWatch will cost around $250 as it will be subsidized by health insurers all thanks to the amazing health focused features that it offers.

Apple is also reportedly planning an October event which will see the introduction of new iPads and new MacBooks in the market.

Apple is making sure that nothing goes wrong in the September 9th event and for this it has assembled a very talented dream team of wearables experts and fashion experts. The iWatch will reportedly have a curved sapphire display and come power packed with fitness sensor galore. It will also reportedly pair with the iPhone for extended functionality.
