FindYogi is a platform that helps consumers make better buying decisions. The product currently serves 4 categories, viz. Mobiles, Tablets, Cameras and Laptops. Founded in October 2012 by Naman Sarawagi in Bangalore, the company now has a 12 member team. Naman has previously worked on products like Freecharge and ZipDial. FindYogi takes a holistic approach towards helping consumers decide what to buy. Each product has quantified specifications, there is comparison between 2 products, curated lists and if you still can’t make a decision, FindYogi lets you ask an expert for personalized advice.

Naman started the company only to earn quick money. "There was a lot of buzz around ecommerce and I believed there was a lot of money to be made here. Though, once we started making the product, we realized there is a big gap in information present on the web and what/how a potential buyer might want for making a decision.", he said. Hence the idea of building FindYogi as a decision platform was born.

‘We solve the problem of What to buy? for consumers. E-commerce companies are great when it comes to fulfilling orders but only if you know what you want to buy. Making a buying decision on an ecommerce site is tough.’, said the founder. They are currently using proprietary algorithms to quantify features and price index of products. And in a few months they will use data science even more to understand the need of the user in a better way.

The company wants to be very strong with Mobiles, Tablets, Cameras and Laptops before they expand further. "The ultimate aim is reduce buyer's remorse amongst consumers. They should feel happy and confident about what they choose to spend their money on.", they say. ‘First 3 months into the business was tough for us. We had product out in the market but very little traction. Since then we have tweaked a lot to reach where we are today.’, added Naman. Never doubting the idea behind the problem, Naman did have a doubt about the individual features of the product. ‘Building consumer facing product is all about validating your convictions, not all of which are right.’, he says.

Believing in "The harder you try, the luckier you get." Naman suggests the future entrepreneurs to be passionate and solve the problem ‘and everything else will fall in place. If making money is the only aim, there are better ways.", he added.

The next time you want to buy Mobiles, Tablets, Cameras or Laptops we suggest you to visit FindYogi
