Connect4career is bootstrapped Delhi based education startup founded by Jeet Sharma and Sagar Kaushik. The portal provides help in getting college admission thereafter internships as well as placements and jobs in top companies of varied sectors which the portal have tied-up with.
The startup faces competition from number of educational portals such as Shiksha.com, Career360.com and CareerIndia.com but these portal focus either on college admission, mentoring or just jobs/placement however Connect4Career is one stop shop for college goers and helps them from getting admission to getting jobs or internships.
The idea behind its inception is that every student has a unique skill set and different career aspirations, but they seldom find suitable opportunities and ways to reach their dream destinations. The company has a clear target on composing trans-formative value proposition to address the competency demands of the industry. Its key focus is to provide its clients the right match who fit the Industry and organizational specification and provide services like- On/Off Campus Drive, Job Fairs, Internships, Industrial Visits.
Jeet after finishing his management education from IIT-Delhi worked with Citibank and Zee News. "I witnessed the hardships faced by students to get a good career opportunity. I came up with this idea to come up with a company which help the students in getting admissions, placements, and jobs in top-notch companies but also assist them in becoming successful leaders, thereby improving their employability rate."
With so many companies doing that in India, we questioned them about their competitors. "Yes, we do have competitors but we are more result oriented and we follow physical campus drives whereas most of our competitor uses technology tools and because of this colleges prefer to use our services as they want to do branding also", he said. "We help them companies by sourcing candidates from colleges" he added. They want to provide maximum opportunities to students specially those who are based in rural areas.
The technology or algorithms which they are using are mainly online assessment test which help students to evaluate their performance. ‘We want to get associated with more and more colleges as well as with corporate in upcoming year so that each and every candidate of India who has caliber and zeal could be employed’, he added.
As a message for future entrepreneurs, Jeet said "Do not be disheartened if you do not get success at first just keep on going have faith and believe in yourself because you are the need of today's world to make India grow."
