Holidify.com is a destination discovery website based out of Noida, aiming to simplify holiday planning experience. It provides a platform which promotes all kinds of destinations – ranging from popular to offbeat and mainstream to exotic.

Being regular travelers themselves, Rohit Shroff and Kovid Kapoor (the founders) faced a lot of difficulties in choosing places to visit for their next trips. They found vast amount of information over the internet, but it was unstructured and unorganized. They decided, it was about time someone took up the initiative to organize the information.

"We brainstormed on how we can possibly solve this problem and the idea of a map-based Graphical user interface supported by strong filters and structured content started making sense.", says Rohit. "With Holidify's map-based interface and powerful, user-friendly filters, we have tried to make the entire process extremely simple, smooth and quick. We have a good database of destinations across all regions of India and we have developed our own content to provide people with the most accurate and useful travel guides. In addition to finalizing the destination, this also helps them in planning their trip.", added Kovid. This is what makes holidify.com so different from other websites.

Passed out from IIT Bombay in 2012, these 2 batchmates worked day and night to launch the prototype in a month. They have done an extensive research. This information is available on the website with HD photos of the place, weather information, travelers' tips etc. "we didn't want to make it completely crowd-sourced because that’s one of the main reasons why so much information is still unstructured. So, we decided to go with an in-house content team who would do a deep-down research before writing our own content making the information provided by us more reliable and trustworthy.", they say.

This Noida based startup launched in June 2013 is already in partnership with Padharo and MTB Himalaya. They are also in talks with OTA's (online Travel Agencies) like Goibibo.com, redbus and are in process of setting up the required things for the same. With a team of 12 interns mostly working on content development and marketing, they are planning to expand their database from 300 destinations to over 800 in the coming month. "Many of these locations are going to be offbeat locations that lack any sort of genuine content on the internet, giving our users a unique experience.", says Rohit.

We also got a message for future entrepreneurs. And that we believe is something that has kept this company growing. "I would like to say that having faith in your idea, belief in yourself and the determination to strive though hurdles should be your driving force. On the other hand, you should always be aware of the competition that you will face. Always do your research and have a good and exhaustive marketing plan in mind.", said Kovid.
