Google, the technology titan is all prepared to launch a 7-inch tablet which will come power packed with advanced vision capabilities. The tablet has been designed under Google’s much talked about project, Project Tango. According to people who are closely associated with the project, some 4,000 prototypes of the tablet can be expected to hit the markets next month.

The tablet will not be a repetition of Google’s Nexus slate and will definitely be better in performance. The 7-inch tablet can be expected to have advanced software, two cameras in the rear and infrared sensors which will equip it to capture exceptionally beautiful three-dimensional images. The tablet may be launched before Google’s annual developer conference which takes place in June.

The only problem that the new tablet might offer is that the technology used by the tablet to function can prove to be too forward for many programmers. Currently, most programmers are used to and comfortable in manufacturing apps for less mechanical slates and Smartphones. Only recently have some people started trying wearables and only a few have managed to enter the domain of 3-D imaging.

The technology giant launched its Project Tango in February this year. The project aims at giving a human scale understanding of space and motion to mobile devices via robotics and computer vision. The project had even unveiled a Smartphone in February which was designed on similar lines as the tablet with sensors that was equipped to create a 3-D map of the user’s surroundings.

The Smartphone prototype comes loaded with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 64 GB of internal storage and a microSD slot.  It also comes with a depth sensing array, a 4 megapixel rear camera and an infrared projector. How many of these features will be able to find a place in the new tablet is yet to be seen.

Google will initially launch a small quantity of the tablets for the developers. It wants the developers to lay their hands on the device first because they think that the Apps created by them would make the device more attractive and desirable to the masses.
