redbus Announces the Rollout of India’s First Vaccinated Bus Service

Vaccinated travellers can choose to travel in buses where co-passengers and bus crew are vaccinated

Requires travelers to have received at least one dose of Covid vaccine in order to be able to travel through this service

National, July 23, 2021: In a first for the bus transport sector, redBus, India’s largest online bus ticketing platform, announces the launch of vaccinated bus services across 600+ major routes in the country. This new arrangement guarantees that passengers of an intercity bus get to travel with vaccinated co-passengers and crew. Booking a ticket on this service requires the travellers to have received at least the first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine and they must submit proof of the same at the time of boarding.

Vaccinated Bus is being introduced in collaboration with private partner bus operators that have a customer rating of more than four stars out of five on the platform. Presently vaccinated bus services have begun operating across 600+ routes on redBus, with the crew and passengers having had at least the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

redBus already implements various safety measures under its ‘Safety+’ program, which is a unique certification given to partner bus operators who meet the highest standards of safety and sanitization. These include deep cleaning of buses after each trip, compulsory masking, hand sanitization and thermal screening of both passengers and the crew.

In order to ensure proper execution of this new system, boarding for passengers who book their tickets on vaccinated buses will only be allowed once they produce their ID proof and vaccination certificate at the time of boarding. The travellers will also be informed of these requirements before the journey through e-mail and SMS. The partner bus operator staff will physically verify the vaccination certificates/ ID proofs for all adult passengers before boarding, with the exception of passengers aged below 18. Passengers who fail to provide the necessary proof will be denied boarding.

Speaking on the service, Prakash Sangam, CEO, redBus, stated --
According to a survey that we recently undertook with our customers, 89% of the respondents said that they prefer to travel in a bus which had all the bus staff and co-passengers vaccinated with at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. It is therefore evident that a vaccinated bus rids passengers of their anxiety to a large extent and restores their confidence to undertake travel, which they are all so eagerly looking forward to. It is also extremely encouraging to witness our partner bus operators stepping up efforts to support us in this undertaking. At the moment, these services are spread across 600+ routes in the country and we will look at further scaling this initiative based on the response to it.

Self-Restraint Is the Name of the Game: 6 Tips for Not Overextending Your Travel Budget

When you travel, there are a ton of things you’ll end up wanting. Those expenses are completely separate from the actual trip, which can be expensive in its own right. The amount of money that goes into planning a trip will always be surprised when you’re short on funds. Apply easy credit online is one way to deal with the costs of an exploding travel budget. But by being smarter with where your money goes, you can keep it from getting out of hand from the start.

6. Plan Early

Waiting until the last minute to plan a trip will always end in you paying a premium price. Tickets are higher, and it is more likely you’ll overpay for the correct lodgings. A bulk of the travel industry is built around last-minute travelers that are willing to pay whatever price is on the table. Give yourself a financial breathing room by planning the trip months in advance.

5. Consider Driving To The Destination

This can sometimes be a cheaper option depending on the trip. As a bonus, you’ll get to stop at your leisure and explore more. Some of the best moments on a trip is when you discover a place that isn’t available where you live. These special places are a common occurrence when you turn a regular trip on a road trip.

4. Bring Snacks

A small cooler full of snacks can save you on a trip. Tourist traps exist all over the world with incredibly high prices. Their main goal is to charge an extra fee to travelers for normal priced items. A bottle of water can end up costing you triple when you need it the most. Avoid this ridiculous mark up by bringing snacks on your trip.

3. Pay Close Attention To Hotel Costs

A nice hotel will often hold money when you book a room. Once that hold is released when you sign in, you can expect yet another hold for incidentals. Are you bringing pets? That is yet another hold. Holds don’t always drop off on time, so you can be without a large sum of money for an unknown amount of time. Plan ahead, and when possible, use gift cards or cash in place of credit cards.

2. Try Not To Travel Near Holidays

The week before and after holidays will cost more to travel. Prices will be up for transportation, gas, hotels and even rental cars. It is an all-around bad idea to make plans to travel during the holidays unless that is your actual intention. After the holiday rush is over, there should be a dramatic drop in prices for traveling.

1. Be Aware Of The Local Festivities

Local traditions and festivities will make traveling more expensive. It is similar to holiday travel, but harder to detect. Check for any local activities in the area before setting up a trip. Besides fighting higher prices and traffic, you’ll have to deal with unavailable parking spots.

Wrap Up

You are always in full control of how much money goes on a trip. Travel plans can include everything you want to do without costing an arm and a leg. For the trips that still hurt your wallet, there are options to help ease the burden. Make travel plans early, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Why Tourism Social Entrepreneurs are Good for Business and Community?

Social entrepreneurship is referred to as a particular kind of “doing business” in a supportable method, pursuing both economic and social wealth. The attention which is provided to social economy plus social entrepreneurship is expanding greatly and a few scholars are affirming that economic sectors happen to be ones which do support a justifiable growth of the labor market. The job of social enterprises is selling items or services for providing an opportunity as well as assistance to disadvantaged people. Contrary to a contemporary non-profit organization, social entrepreneurs make use of market-based methods for funding environmental and social impacts.

Within the tourism and hospitality context, it confirms higher local benefit in place of outflow of resources to a multi-national company as it habitually happens in this industry. The motivation which works behind this is CBA (Community Benefits Agreement). These CBAs are between community coalitions and developers and they tend to become associated with infrastructure development and institution projects. Among anchor institutions come universities, hospitals, convention centers, hotel, and various other place-based entities.

The role of private enterprises to social procurement and CBAs are as follows:

  • The benefit of tax incentives

Tax incentives plus other advantages like funding for public works, infrastructure or fast-tracked zoning.

  • Lower risk

Lower risk is commonly linked with the reaction of community groups and neighborhoods. At times, when community coalitions are tangled as key stakeholders, then it manages to pave the way for relationships which do benefit all the parties. Developers ought to adopt social hiring policies and social procurement in areas that are suffering from over-tourism backlash.

  • Opportunities for building brand image

Sustainability is considered a selling point when there is an authentic and tangible message which happens to be woven naturally into the offering.

The challenges

However, this approach is not devoid of challenges in spite of growing proof of its advantages. One study outlines the key challenges related to incubation and information and many authors did struggle to discover instances of social enterprise with hospitality and tourism. It indicates either lower levels of awareness or fewer examples and sometimes both. Irrespective of the way, there are many opportunities. Another remarkable challenge is viewed as the shortage of support which particularly targets social entrepreneurship and support within this sector.

The remarkable benefits

Though tough to quantify the community benefit has been proven through the use of SROI (Social Return on Investment) methodology. According to a study, for every $1 which was being invested in social enterprises, there was an assumed return of nearly $4.13in community benefits, and it is more than a three hundred percent return! The benefits that come under it are lessened dependence, lower healthcare costs, lower crime rates, plus other factors. Again, participants stated the highest outcomes were the enhanced quality of life that included playing online games in sites like https://sbobetasia55.com that wasn’t comprised in the calculation due to its difficulty in measurement.

The emergence plus development of social entrepreneurship and social economy exerts a potent impact which transforms into improved employment opportunities for a vulnerable group which concentrates on community growth, improved access to private and public services besides development incentives meant for small-scale operating in different fields that include tourism.

5 Tips To Being A Traveling Entrepreneur

As an entrepreneur, there are many situations where you will have to travel. For instance, you might have to meet new investors or network at workshops, tradeshows, and conventions. Whatever the case, traveling is an essential part of being an up-and-coming entrepreneur. However, the question is do you have to set up your business in one country? This is not necessarily the case. With the growth of modern technology, many entrepreneurs are discarding the notion of operating a location-dependent business.

This group of people is referred to as digital nomads. The key to becoming a successful digital nomad is finding ways to balance your workload and hectic travel schedule. It is founded on being able to work effectively and efficiently while on the move.

You can achieve this easily with the right amount of effort, but also because many regions in the world are now technologically advanced and can support the lifestyle of a digital nomad. The good news is that most of these places also have spots where you can unwind after a long day of dealing with various aspects of your business. Here are 5 tips that can help you become a successful traveling entrepreneur:

  1. Mind Your Workspace

Having a comfortable workspace is an essential factor in keeping your productivity levels high. There are several feasible options available to you, such as co-working spaces, libraries, and coffee shops. On the other hand, there are also different tools you can use to set up a workspace anywhere you stay. A great example is the Window Shelf – DeskView, a portable shelf that acts as a sturdy and efficient workbench. Who said you can’t be comfortable and productive at the same time?

  1. Time Management

One of the top advantages to working remotely is that you get to schedule your activities in the way that you want them. However, this freedom makes it much easier for you to get complacent and neglect your business. Planning your activities in advance will help you avoid this trap. With a good plan in place, you will have no excuse not to execute these vital tasks.

It is also important to experiment and find out your most productive time. This allows you to setup all your business-related activities within this period, leaving the rest of the day for you to explore your new location.

  1. Do Adequate Research Upfront

Properly researching on your destination city will help you cut costs. This gives you enough time to compare the travel and accommodation packages offered by different companies and service providers. It will also allow you to find the best locations for both work and rest.

Taking your time to do this research is good because it also assists you in financial planning. Be sure to save money for emergency cases and learn - in theory - how to handle specific situations in various locations.

  1. Connect With Local Expatriate Communities

Technological growth has made it possible to find local groups that share your interests even before you get to your destination. This will make things work even better for you once you arrive. Local expatriates are a valuable business resource. They will be able to give you the best information on basic daily needs such as shopping, banking, working spaces, and much more. The will help you to quickly absorb local culture, which might be a refreshing change.

  1. Use Your Time in the Air

Without realizing it, your time in an airplane can be very productive. This is because it might be the only time when your phone is not blowing up with calls, texts, or social media alerts as you travel. It is a nice and quiet time to focus on your business and let your creativity flow. Use this time to work on tasks that you may have put aside because they couldn’t fit or be completed within your daily schedule.
